Very clean and lively. Loved the restaurant and bar attached. Location was great for what we were doing. "The loop" or the street it is located on has a bunch of shops, restaurants and activities that we enjoyed.

The parking was nerve-wracking l. Not enough security cameras or coverage. When we checked out there were several vehicles that were broken in to.

The Moonrise is always my family's choice when visiting St. Louis.

We stayed on a higher floor than we have in the past and on a Friday night, the noise from the rooftop bar was challenging to sleep, we had an early morning flight on Saturday, so in the future, if I need to be up early, I'll request a lower floor. The noise from the roof has never been a problem during any of our previous stays there.

Location was good and the hotel was clean. We liked the rooftop terrace. We spent the 4th of July evening watching the various fireworks around the city from the terrace. The decor is unique and the room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was well equipped, including a bathrobe.

The stuff, with exception of one male front desk clerk, was not very friendly and accommodating. We spent 4 nights in the hotel during a hot summer and our room was quite damp. The maintenance person provided us with a “dehumidifier”, which helped.

The atmosphere of the lobby was awesome! The view from the rooftop bar was beautiful. They literally have everything at this hotel from robes in the bathroom to a pee pad for dogs right outside the front door. I couldn’t get my picky dog to use it, maybe others will have better luck. The very delightful manager was always happy and smiling each time I walked through the lobby. He seems to have a great staff working for him. Thank you for all you do.

I stayed with my senior mother. I learned I need to ask for handicap accessible rooms. The bed was too high for her and she was uncomfortable in the two chairs in the room. It’s not the rooms fault just a learning experience. The room was amazing it was just made for a younger demographic.

they were very welcoming of our dogs. we liked that the room was on a floor specifically of pet friendly rooms. we noted that the furniture was a little worn and stained but felt less concerned with having our pets there versus other hotels where we might constantly worry about very minor pet damage.

the grout in the bathroom was not clean. the mattress was stained. but overall it was a clean room. wish they had regular bathtub rooms or didn’t charge extra for a room with a tub. the rain shower was a little small. and there is no pool or hot tub which would have been nice.

it’s so unique and beautiful especially the rainbow staircase. The decor is different but relaxing. The staff were friendly all around the hotel and it’s in a great location especially if you’re going to the Pageant. The rooftop bar has both indoor and outdoor access which is great. the bed was beet comfy and hardly any noise. Parking in back and the option of valet parking too. Great experience overall with great customer service.

the shower stalls are narrow and the way the doors are built makes it more difficult to get in and out if you’re a bigger person. my tv didn’t work for part of my stay but a staff came as soon as I contacted the front desk. There was no room service which was inconvenient but since we have the option of DoorDash it worked out.

I thought the decor was pleasant. The rooms were spacious and had plugs for telephones and computers, unlike many older hotels. The beds were very comfortable.

The parking security sentry blocks entry at night. I parked nearby but wondered why they did this when there appeared to be spaces in the lot behind the hotel. The restaurant did not appear to be open.

Close to food and town and walking distance (a little over a mile) from Wash U. Parking is free and very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant recs. Beds were comfortable (they even had a sound machine!) and the bathroom was stocked with Avveda samples. Clean, nice shower and spacious room/bathroom. The rooftop bar for small eats was nice, as was the gym. The theme is moons - they are everywhere. Fun vibe that’s tongue and cheek humor.

We only stayed for a night, but for someone seeing St Louis for the first time, this was a great hotel! We were able to grab a drink at the rooftop bar after checking in (front desk people were all super nice), and then took a short walk and had dinner at Blueberry Hill. Noon checkout is great also for people like us who enjoy taking our time getting out of bed in the morning :)

The Moscow mules that we ordered at the rooftop bar were way too sweet, to the point they almost tasted like they were made with margarita mix. But If that’s my only “complaint”, then let’s just say this place was worth it!

I love unique hotels that commit to a theme like this (in this case, everything is lunar-themed), and the location and value are hard to beat. There was plenty of parking even though the lot was marked as “valet only” (staff told me to just ignore the signs which ended up being fine). We only spent one night there but would have been comfortable with a longer stay as well. We did not have time to try the restaurant but would like to next time.

The room was clean but there was a pretty strong smell inside upon arrival; presumably from the cleaning chemicals etc. When we returned in the evening the smell had dissipated. Small detail, but was slightly bothersome at first. Did not detract much at all from the overall experience.
