Hyatt Place Chicago/Itasca

The location was tucked away but close to several stations. The room was really clean and looked like new. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the clerk who helped us check in, though I’m sorry my poor memory forgot their name. They remembered mine though! The amount of outlets was also notable, a lot of hotels I find myself struggling to find even one so it was nice to have a few.

I wish there was a privacy curtain that went around the entire shower. That was a pretty unpleasant surprise. To be honest, the glass isn’t as frosty as you think and I was pretty uncomfortable with the lack of even the option of privacy.

Pleasant and quiet hotel situated close to motorways and only 1.5 miles from the Metra train station at Itasca. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, with large sofa area, small kitchen unit and desk. The bathrooms are spacious and have everything you may need. There is a safe for storing valuables and the beds are large and very comfortable. I was initially given room 422, but found it was directly next to a very loud ice vending machine. The staff were really helpful in moving me to room 301 which was lovely and quiet. Breakfast selection is good with everything you may need to start off your day. Getting into Chicago is easy via the Metra train from Itasca, the hotel shuttle will take you to the station free of charge, but equally just as easy to get an Uber/Lyft to the station and back. The trip into Union Station takes approx 45 minutes.

Grace greeted us with a smile and was polite and answered all my questions without any problem or hesitations. For the most part, everything was clean and smelled good. The housekeeping was great and very polite!

The cleanliness of the elevators during my stay was 4 nights, and the elevators were not cleaned in 2 or more days I know because the same coffee stains were on the floor and wall. I could not log on to the internet at all the entire time I was there. Grace was not there, the other girls at the desk were of no help.

We really liked the property , we also liked the staff and location. My family enjoyed the room, it was quiet and clean. The pool was clean , good temperature and towels were available. The location has a very nice mall near by about 5-7 minute drive, and downtown would probably take 30 minute drive depending on traffic. They offered hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast , sausage for those that enjoy it) I would recommend other options besides the pork sausage but I can do without, also cereal, oatmeal , fruits , and coffee. The parking lot was not crowded and easy to get in and out. Our room had a microwave which was great for hearing takeout etc.

I can’t say much, really satisfied with this property overall , but if I had to make any suggestions… -maybe another breakfast option for those that don’t eat pork meat Maybe turkey sausage :-) , or something for vegetarians. Thank You

Great sized room and really happy that it came with an Iron and Ironing board which is very helpful when travelling for business. Room was very clean and was well sized to allow me to rest and also a separate area to work on my laptop. Liked the small shop at reception for purchasing additional items and snacks.

Breakfast could have had more options/choice, especially for vegetarians. Was quite limited.

The hotel was in a quiet area. The rooms was spacious. The staff seemed polite.

When first getting to the hotel our room had large red stains throughout the whole room on the carpet. The room itself was a little rough looking. They did move us to another room that was much cleaner. The indoor pool was very cold. I would say it could use a deep clean and some updating.

A little far *Note to other travelers The taxis are a complete rip off as they charge extra for the “ suburbs” which this hotel really isn’t but that’s the rule — they don’t tell you this when you are in the line for a taxi for 20 minutes Just book the Uber/ Lyft save 15 usd

The nice staff check in and out.. the night staff on point and both men cook our food . My chicken strips was cook the way I like perfectly. Nice hotel think this will be our stop when we come to Chicago. I slept like a baby ... The shower stay hott love the fact that the towels are in the shower ...yes no cold air ... To end this I will be returning to stay at this hotel again ... Tell them to have my chicken strip order ready .. I had the names of the the staff but can't find the paper but when I do I'ma shout them out ...

I liked how the shower looked. Bed was comfortable and so was the couch. TV was in a good position too

I don't like that there's no Day Rates to the rooms. A few months ago I called ahead asking if there were day rates since we weren't going to be able to stay for long and someone told us yes but when we got to the facility they told me that they didn't do day rates. Also applies to this visit except that I didn't call this time.

Very comfortable, large King-size room in calm, close location to O'Hare International airport! Cozy beds, A/C works well, no noise and modern hotel

Housekeeping needs special request, a bit poor breakfast until 9 am only, no yoghurt, plastic cutlery and reception not helpful with all questions
