Carleton of Oak Park

The hotel is in middle of Oak Park downtown. It is very clean and nice hotel ... 5 min walk from the main street where you will find cafes, restaurants, shops ..etc. It is 30 min away from Chicago downtown.

Location was perfect, walking distance to restaurants and train to city

We asked for towels at 8pm, and were told none available until the morning which seemed odd for a hotel.

The Lobby is always welcoming. Decorated for every occasion. I appreciate dedicated parking for my own vehicle. Room was ready an hour earlier than check in which helped with anniversary plans.

Staff did not acknowledge occasion. No water bottles provided in room. All vending machines did not work, had to go out of hotel to a store 3 blocks away. Construction started way too early on a Saturday morning.

Location location location was excellent for eats and super convenient to the bus stop into the city!

We asked for our room to be serviced and cleaned the 2nd day and only towels were replaced no additional cleaning was completed nor were our beds made. That was disappointing.

We loved the building and decor. The location, for us, was perfect. We enjoy being in downtown Oak Park. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.

There were two restaurants in the building but no where to get breakfast without leaving the building. A system for easier check out would be helpful.

Beautifully restored hotel. Warm ambiance in lobby with classical music playing. Enjoyed both restaurants on the premises (good food and good value). Room was clean and comfortable bed and bedding. Easy walking distance to fun shops and great restaurants! Frank Lloyd Wright museum is also in walking distance-tour was well worth the price!

Good Italian restaurant + nice bar. Quiet place, some small shops, butcher, backer, French pastry shop, easy to find things to eat around...

Have to check out , no possibke discussion at 11:00 11:30... No breakfast

The Carleton was close to the CTA and Metra, located downtown Oak Park, free parking, just an old fashioned, go back in time hotel that we stayed at to train into the city.

The beds were a small double, not quite a full double.

Location is great, very central in Oak Park and close to the L to get into the City. Love the historic charm of this hotel.

The room was a little cool even with the heat on high, but other than that, I was great!

Good location, nice neighbourhood, right next to a train station with a less than half hour connection to the center. Very friendly staff.

Wifi is slow, not usable for online meetings. The interior is getting a bit old.
