Holiday Inn Express Chicago Northwest-Vernon Hills, an IHG Hotel

The property was close and convenient to where we and my family needed to stay. It had a great breakfast in the mornings.

The girl that worked the night desk on the evening of July 28 and 29th was very unprofessional. She was hanging out in the parking lot with friends of hers that would park in a handicap spot. I had to wait for her to finish her conversation to check me in. She wore clothing that to me was unprofessional and on the second night that we came in she was in the lobby with one of her male friends counting cash, cussing and made customers feel very uncomfortable. this is not an environment I would’ve wanted to bring young kids through to see.

Clean room, comfortable bed. The whole hotel felt fresh, safe, and clean. Lots of space in the parking lot and the area around the hotel felt safe enough. Lots of towels and nice soaps available. For this price in the outskirts of Chicago it was a really good quality hotel. I would stay here again.

There was some sort of celebration being held in the hotel for which the people played pretty loud music. It would have been nice if the hotel enforced quiet after about 10pm, but it was not too bad.

Love the room and all the food and shopping around the hotel!! Also loved the cold refrigerator and ac unit!!! Very comfortable and memorable stay

I didn't like the lack of tv channels and no guide on the tv for what was on. Need more options for your free breakfast.

The staff made me very comfortable the room was clean If I needed anything someone had a answer. I would love to stay again

The 1st taxi service didn't show up I needed to go to the navy base They really didn't want to take my service because it was too close and they felt like they couldn't make money That was a slap in the face I wouldn't use that service again for my taxi (American taxicab) Poor service

It was a great location for us. Our room on the second floor was very quiet. I liked that you could open the window a little for fresh air. The staff was very responsive even if they didn’t have an answer to our questions The midnight front desk staff was not wearing masking while the day and evening staff were very committed to the CDC, State, and IHG requirements. The breakfast was okay

The room was somewhat small. You could not receive local network channels on the TV We never figured out how to make the AC unit go off when the room temperature reached the set point.

This hotel was, by far, the cleanest I have ever seen. The room was very large, and the beds and pillows were so, so comfy. I slept like a baby! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and friendly, and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I’m pretty sure I would go out of my way to stay here again if I could. It was that nice.

Other than a hiccup caused by the system not liking when I used a card other than the one I used to book the room, there is literally nothing negative to say about this place.

The breakfast was great! The location was convenient for us, it was about a 20 minute drive into Gurnee but also had many things located right near the hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The pool was small but never crowded, it worked well for us.

I have no complaints. Everything was great. My only suggestion would be more breakfast options but even that is minor. Overall was a good experience, especially for the price.

We were very happy with our stay. All the staff were nice and polite. I love the location because it if close to many restaurants and shopping places. The price is also affordable.

Breakfast was hot and delicious. With three days staying there, though...it got boring having the same every day.

We didn't know we were supposed to REQUEST housekeeping to come. Consequently, our room was not freshened when we returned at the end of the next day. Staff brought towels when we went to the front desk about it, but it wasn't what we expect from Holiday Inn Express.

The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. The location of the hotel was great. Unfortunately there was a little construction by the hotel when we were there, but it was still easy to get to.
