Best Western Plus Lafayette Hotel University Area

Cleanliness was top notch! Breakfast was OK except some food temps were a bit low. I saw no one testing temps on the food and the gentleman attending the breakfast did not comprehend English well, so he did not understand my questions at all on this critical subject. Food safety rules must be understood!

Associates who interact with customers of the hotel should have proper understanding of English! This man was Asian, and knowing a little Spanish helped me thank the hotel maids personally. I have no knowledge of any of the Asian languages, so I was unable to express my concerns over the temperature of the sausage links, which were not warm or hot even though they were in a steam table like vessel on the breakfast bar.

Very clean and nicely renovated rooms. We only stayed passing through, so our stay was really just to stop and sleep. For the most part, it was quiet, and very comfortable. With the new renovations the lights were very bright.

It's close to the freeway, so you can hear the freeway noise. The room was a little warm. The air didn't seem to stay consistent through the night, but not enough to make it unpleasant. Getting in was a little confusing. You drive up to the back entrance that is locked, so maybe a direction sign would be beneficial.

I didn't have breakfast but when I got some Orange Juice. Everything looked good that was available for breakfast. The only issue with the room is the bed could be a little more comfortable. Everything else was very high standard and I loved the shower and the non-slip pad in the tub was perfect.

Just a more comfortable bed.

Had to extend my stay in the area but had to leave the hotel because the price was going to be ridiculously high to stay longer. Had they had more affordable rates on short notice I would have stayed longer but if you stay here book ahead or it will be way to expensive

We stayed here one night on our way to another location. It was easy access off the highway. It used to be something else so the sign was not lit but it was still pretty easy to locate. Check in was a breeze! The woman at the front desk was very kind and easy to talk to. We ordered door dash so we wouldn’t have to drive anywhere. There was a good selection of restaurants in the area. Most of them stopped taking orders at 9:30pm so if you’re coming in late I’d stop beforehand. The room was very clean and comfortable. My fiancé did notice some stains on the carpet but that’s to be expected at a pet friendly hotel. I was very pleased overall. Would definitely stay again if traveling through the area! P.S. due to Covid it’s only grab and go breakfast. Didn’t bother us at all.

This hotel seems nearly brand new. Furnishings were quite clean. Spacious room with comfortable King bed. All the amenities I am used to from HIE and Hampton Inns, like free WiFi, fridge, microwave and coffee maker, but at a significantly better price. I will return when I am next in Lafayette.

The Hotel sits next to a very busy motorway, but thankfully we were on the opposite side, otherwise there was nothing we didn’t like.

Rooms were nicely decorated. Ac worked well. Everything was clean.

The mattress needed to be replaced. It had a huge crater in the middle. My husband and I spent all night trying to climb out of it and off of each other. There was no hot breakfast. I understand this is Covid times, but it should have said on the website that there was a bag breakfast.

They didn’t offer the regular breakfast because of covid, but still had housekeeping for each room. Other hotels provide breakfast, but only allow housekeeping if you want it due to covid safety. I personally would have preferred breakfast and no housekeeping.
