Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Waverly

The location was great. I love the old pics of Waverly and Wartburg. I appreciated the pillow-top on the bed since I forgot to bring my own foam topper. Typically hotel beds are pretty hard for me to sleep on but this one was great!

Breakfast did not have any gluten-free options (bread alternatives). Eggs and sausage were ok, but if I'm paying for a continental breakfast and cannot eat 80% of it...it seems a bit unfair. Even one GF option would be great (such as GF oatmeal or loaf of bread for toast, etc).

Our room was spacious, with a nice kitchen area off the living room and a separate bedroom. Bed was very comfortable. The staff at this hotel are very polite and helpful. The breakfast was particularly nice, with plenty of choices available.

The rooms are really lacking in light. We moved lamps around, but still felt things were quite dark. The remote controls for the TVs only worked it we were within a couple of feet of them. We changed batteries which didn't help. Even tried a remote from a family member's room with no success.

room wasn’t very clean. still had garbage in the trash cans when we came in. we used the pull out couch and I had to go ask for the sheets because there was none in the room. there was old candy under the pull out couch also.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for the unfortunate event that we needed to travel for and the breakfast was amazing.

The staff wasn't exactly personable and the parking was confusing.

Linen was too small, had a queen sized sheet on a king sized bed. Towels were like they belonged in Motel six. Need to upgrade to make it a more luxurious room

Breakfast was minimal (cold items, bagels, frozen waffles you could heat in your room, etc.). I did appreciate this though-they are keeping their guests safe through this pandemic-and some hotels have completely shut breakfast down, so grabbing a quick bagel was appreciated. With that being said, the hotel staff are EXCEPTIONAL. Everyone I met had a smile on their face and went above and beyond to make their guests happy. The hotel was also exceptionally clean.

There also wasn't a chair in the room (other than the desk chair). I may be spoiled but sometimes it's nice to have somewhere else to sit besides the bed. There also wasn't much of a parking lot; maybe 4-5 spots in the hotel, BUT there is a large city parking lot separated just by a small alley. They also had construction happening with scaffolding on 2 sides. I could hear them working in the hallway, but my room was completely quiet.

The snacks, drinks and breakfast provided were fresh and well served.

The desk staff should have been more willing to accept earlier arrivals or at least sign them in and allow them to return later to receive their assigned rooms.

We appreciated the attention the desk clerk gave to a non-working TV. Got it fixed in time for the hockey match! The breakfast was very good .. excellent coffee. A ring we accidentally left in the room was returned to us before we left town. Honesty of staff was outstanding. We will stay there again, for sure.

To us, this is a new chain of Hotels. Similar to Holiday Inn or Marriott Hotels. Located in Downtown Waverly which is a highly welcoming, clean & apparently safe town in the heart of northern Iowa. Highly comfortable room. I recently had shoulder surgery & this was the first night I was able to actually sleep in a bed again (trust me that is a BIG deal)! Very quiet inside.

Entering the parking area was a bit steep, rather quickly.

very clean very friendly staff I asked them for a first floor room and they answered very quickly and gave me a first floor room! will definitely stay here again!

no pool oh well can’t have everything! 😁
