The staff was very friendly. I stayed for the State Fair, so 12 nights in total! Convenient to walk downtown for restaurants. The rooms look brand new, spacious, and the kitchenette is very well stocked.
The only downsides: They do not have their own parking lot. I thought on site parking would mean that they have their own lot and that it was included with the stay. Parking is in the lot next door belonging to the city (limited spots available) or in a parking garage next door. The cost was $24 a day, so for my 12 day stay… it added up. Building demolition across the street was loud in the mornings, only woke me up 3/12 mornings though and is a temporary flaw.

Walking distance to main street, just one block over. The beds were comfortable, slept soundly. Kitchenette was well stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. Nice size refrigerator with freezer (ice maker too) Breakfast was great, waffles of course, eggs, meat, cereal, fresh fruit, and pastries. LOTS of seating room! Could get a game or two in of billiards just off the lobby. Parking at $24 a night, and plenty of spaces available. Elevators were never too busy. Room refreshing is as needed, quick to supply us with towels and toiletries upon request. Enjoyed our stay, felt safe!!!
some of the towels and wash cloths should have been converted to cleaning cloths. Lots of lobby bathroom activity by bus drivers in the mornings. Because if you are sitting in the lobby before 7 am (when they unlock the front doors) the bus drivers are knocking and asking you to open the doors for them.

A very friendly staff always greeted with smiles and nice conversation. the location was great with being close to all we did and we walked everywhere.
The only a couple negatives I can say is it is an extra $18 dollars to park in a lot near the hotel overnight or $20 valet, so add that to your stay price. the other is there should be a bar of soap at every sink or shower location. not one bar for the whole room. guests should not have to ask for hand soap!

I really enjoy this property.. I will definitely stay again and again .. As a person whom worked for hospitality for 17yrs. There is a lot I keep my eyes open for. The only disappointment I had was a very horrible odor by the elevator that hit me when heading to my room. The next morning as I was heading to breakfast I stepped off the elevator to that same smell.. Not a great thing to smell as you trying to go eat. I stop by the desk and told them about. Shortly after they took the trash out and the smell was gone. I did not like the fact that if I smelled they did too. But allowed it to sit there all night. Because they feel it wasn't a part of their job.

The breakfast started with a high quality and as the days went by the quality dropped a lot which surprised us, the spectacular room, great view, great location but the fact that parking costs $20 per day was undoubtedly a very negative factor ! Great service from the staff and the hotel facilities are incredible not to mention the fact that having a kitchen in the apartment helped a lot in the end at Christmas nothing in the city was open and thank God we had bought everything we needed for the 25th!
the fact that parking costs $20 per day was undoubtedly a very negative factor , and unfortunately we had the feeling that the room had not been cleaned before we entered the final there were incredibly dirty dishes from breakfast inside the dishwasher.

Kind, friendly, and professional staff and an absolutely beautiful facility! I especially enjoyed having the convenience of the on-site store in the lobby. We loved the pool table, as well! The outdoor courtyard was a lovely amenity with the fire pits, seating, and grills. The complimentary breakfast offerings were delicious and plenty. We will definitely be back!
It came a slight rain which blew out ALLLLL of the TVs in the entire facility - rooms, lobby, and all. Several people were watching the World Series and others football games so they were not happy. We were told this tends to happen when it rains which was disconcerting to hear when paying the prices we were paying. Fortunately, service was restored pretty quickly thereafter!

Great breakfast. Location is decent. Wishing I could have gotten a room on a higher floor, but all things considered? Worth every cent. Everything was clean and the room was awesome. Super cool showers, full kitchen with plates, cookware and real coffee cups.
I did not enjoy the terrible room coffee, but that is a minor grievance, what hurt more was the parking is not included. It is a downtown location and I anticipated that, still, the hotel should offer parking passes or discounted parking, it would make staying downtown more economical.

Great location to everything Louisville. Walking distance from all the entertainment. When requested a clean up of the room, they came and even made the bed. Social night - free drinks and food was nice to meet new people who were also staying. Rooms are exactly as pictured.
Pool was cold but still nice to use as many others are not allowing at the moment. I booked a king suite and unfortunately due to being over booked was given a double queen suite for same price. .

Hotel room had a lot of space and it was nice to have a kitchen. Staff was quick to attending to our needs. We were close to a lot of restaurants.
Staff was helpful but not very friendly save for the guy who checked us out. View wasn't the greatest as we were looking partially at the courtyard and partially at a creepy alley. Room was nice, but didn't feel like what we paid for. Snack store was not well stocked.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, having never stayed at a Homewood before. The hotel is quite new and modern, from the lobby and elevator to the rooms and all common spaces. The room is effectively an L-shaped studio, a nice size with space to roam, with its own kitchen and full sized refrigerator and microwave (along with plates, cups, cutlery); sofa; working desk; king sized bed. The bathroom features a modern walk-in shower, but I generally don't like this design where the sink is outside of the toilet/shower - I get that it's convenient when there are 2 people in the room using different facilities, but it also makes it difficult to brush your teeth when your spouse is asleep right next to the sink. Room was spotlessly clean. There is a gym and small pool on site, which I didn't use. The location is also very convenient, just 1 block from Main Street and 2 blocks from the Slugger Museum - for a tourist, you'll barely need a cab/car since it's possible to walk to a lot of attractions. The complimentary breakfast was nicer than expected, featuring premade hot omelets, sausage patties, and home style potatoes - in addition to continental options of cereals, bagels, toast, coffee; on one morning (Sunday), it was quite mobbed with guests and a mess with even coffee running out, but the next morning (Monday), the experience was much calmer with plenty of food - as a free bonus that the hotel offers, I certainly have no complaints. There is also some social hour daily in the lobby (the sign actually indicates free beer on Wednesdays only), but I cannot comment since I didn't partake. I think this hotel would be an excellent choice for longer term stays, where one might need a working kitchen and want to cook - but even short weekend guests would enjoy the extra space in the room and the updated furnishings. I would recommend Homewood Suites for a convenient stay in Louisville.
