Hyatt Regency Louisville

The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the convenience of the hotel to the Kentucky Convention Center.

The service in the restaurant "Sway" was horrible. We were seated by the hostess and then 10 minutes later the waitress arrived and asked if we were ready to order, we had not been given a menu nor offered to take our drink order. Ahe then got us menus and gave each of us a glass of water, however never asked us if we wanted any other types of drinks. The restaurant was not busy, she was just incompetent The server who delivered our food waited on us more than our waitress and we were a party of 10, which they do not split checks either. The food itself was Delicious but the service ruined our dinner.

We were there for KMEA Conference with my grandson. His mother and I stayed there. The most memorable for us was to be able to see and hear my grandson and other high school students sing the National Anthem two of the three nights they sang. It was an honor to be there to witness that after seeing so many videos and seeing your beautiful Hotel! So impressive! Your restaurant bar tender was beyond great! He said he’s leaving in three weeks. You need to keep him. Very accommodating to all his customers.

A shuttle bus to and from the Kentucky Performing Arts Center. We did a lot of walking in the cold. More for the students that had to walk there and couldn’t take jackets. That’s not the hotels rules, their instructors/teachers? It would make it easier on the kids who are performing !

It was a nice room. I liked that there was a safe and refrigerator. The beds were comfortable, we loved the big tv, sitting areas, and my son loved the elevators. I smoke so I go out late at night to smoke. There were security that walked around and hung outside for a little bit. It made me feel safer having them around.

The carpet was pretty stained. We paid extra for a room with a view. But it was kind of a crappy view, wish we had saved that little extra money. When we eat out on vacation I never eat all my food. So I bring it back to eat later. But there was no microwave to warm up my left overs.

The location was perfect for us. Beds were comfortable and showers had excellent water pressure. The city view from our room was beautiful. Staff were very kind and professional.

I wish breakfast had been included in the room price. It was an expensive extra charge at the restaurant considering what was served was the exact same basic items as any hotel continental breakfast. Several elevators were out of service so there were extended waits at times.

The location was fantastic and the outdoor seating was great! Parking was easy and the valet service was exceptional.

Our room smelled like marijuana every night. It was awful. When we called the front desk, the gentleman was extremely rude and the security guard they sent upstairs reaked of pot as well. Nothing was done and there was no offer to move our room. We were traveling with little kids so it was frustrating

Everyone who worked there was nice, the location was ideal for our purposes, also would be ideal for any who are visiting for the Fourth St. Live experience.

The only comment we had is that the air conditioning would occasionally make a loud noise, almost like a small explosion. We did alert the lady as we checked out and she said she would report this as several others had mentioned the same thing. The first time it did it we had just fallen asleep and jumped out of the bed until we figured out where it was coming from but that was the only thing that was slightly annoying. Otherwise, a very nice stay.

1818 was phenomenal. Looking out over the city.

I do realize this weekend that we stayed was New Year’s Eve but it was very loud and other staying customers were drunk and yelling, singing on each of the levels till 3 am. I called front desk multiple times about this and nothing was done. The customers that were on either side of me were either have some sort of orgy or something because the pounding and the obvious noises were not very welcoming. But over all I pleased with the stay. Just didn’t care for all the extra stuff that was going on.

Awesome location! It is one block away from great nightlife/restaurants and convenience stores. The parking was easy to deal with which is always a plus in downtown hotels and it cost $20 a day and you get in and out privileges. Lobby was clean and welcoming, staff was awesome! Lovely atrium-style hotel. Got an awesome room thanks to Trae. Room was clean, bed comfy, and the coffee in the room wasn’t all that bad. I’d stay here again!

The only complaint I have is that the lights in the little makeup mirror did not work, no big deal, but it would’ve been great to have been able to utilize it.

Loved the staff. Convenient to what/why we were there. Food and drinks great. liked sitting outside. Loved having the friendly security guard around as well. When approached by pan handlers, the staff jumped right in.

they could clear tables better outside. I and other guests cleaned up to sit down.

Location and overall atmosphere was great and the price that we paid was well worth the stay. The staff was very helpful with directions to the local attractions and they made suggestions to some great places to eat. Also, the hotel was very clean and it was important to me that the housekeepers were visible everyday and they were sanitizing.

If there was one thing that could have been better, I wished that the restaurant was not closed during our stay because I was looking forward to the Bourbon tasting and breakfast in bed. Also, the drain in the shower in the room is not designed to stop water from traveling under the door so, We kept a towel down in front of the bathroom door during showers to keep the water from leaving into the bathroom but not a huge issue.
