Location. VERY close to NE Harbor, and close to Acadia National Park, Seal Beach, and Bar Harbor. Good value, when compared to the outrageous prices charged by other local hotels in the summer. It was nice to have a pool Could walk to the Marina. MOST of these staff was very friendly.

One of the staffers, whom I don't want to name, was not friendly. This was made clear by the fact that ALL the other staffers were so very friendly: you'd always get a warm greeting, no matter how many times you walked through the lobby. But not from her. In fact, one day, I walked by the desk very loudly, to see if she'd look up and give me greeting, as all the other staffers did. She stayed focused on whatever she was going. It would seem to me that if you're going to work at a hotel, you have to actually like greeting your guests. I'm sure hotel management will know the person to whom I refer.

comfortable and clean room

Our room was adjacent to the restaurant/bar and was noisy later in the evening due to the live music. We were not informed there would be live music the evening we stayed. Also, there was a constant sound of running water and a very loud fan system in our room which made it difficult to sleep. We contemplated asking to be moved to another room. Not sure if the noise was associated with being close to the restaurant or if we would have experienced the same level of noise in another room. Also, we feel because we booked our accommodation through Booking.com we were given a less desirable room.

Great location, clean room, nice view, good value for Acadia in high season.

The receptionist during our afternoon checkin had such a sour attitude, it was really unpleasant. She was rude for no reason and wouldn’t help with our questions about the park except to begrudgingly mark a spot on the free maps they provide - with the wrong location for Cadillac Mountain. Had to wonder if it was intentional. The gentlemen in the back that afternoon and at the desk in the next morning were much nicer. Maybe switch positions for the sake of your guests?

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Excellent value, very convenient location (free island exporter bus to bar harbor and Acadia park right across the street, ferry to cranberry islands right across the street), very clean and freshly updated rooms, nice restaurant next door and a clean pool! Very impressed by this family owned property!

I liked everything. Not a single thing I would change.

We were looking for a place close to Acadia and found Kimbell Terrace in the Northeast Harbor. It was in a very quiet location and we enjoyed walking by the marina each morning and sitting on the balcony each evening. The little town had a few places that we visited for breakfast and the grocery store was adequate. The coffee provided in the lobby was good quality. The distance to Acadia and Bar Harbor was about 20 minute drive. We spent our days out adventuring away from the hotel.

It was hard to wash shampoo and conditioner out - the water was too soft. The facilities were a little dated, but nothing that made our stay less enjoyable.

The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the pier and take a cruise and catch the shuttle for the park. We also walked into town for dinner one night. The staff was very friendly and personable.

The place is pretty dated. The bathroom ceiling tiles looked moldy. And the walls we very thin. We could hear everything above and below us, along with the screaming kids running around outdoors.

The location and facilities were very good. The place is spotless. Having 2 queen rather than double beds in the rooms would have been perfect. The large fridge was great for the fruit and drinks we brought. The next door restaurant was convenient and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

We were happy with the inn. No real complaints. A couple of the desk staff were less than enthusiastic but everyone else including cleaning crew and the restaurant staff were great.

Room was very clean; staff were very nice; hot water and coffee available at front desk all time

Heater had some smell when first turned on. Parking at evening can be tricky as it shared parking with restaurant next to it. But overall very very good, especially when compared to the overpriced hotel nearby. The breakfast experience at the restaurant (NorEaster) was disappointing.. Service was very slow, had to wait a long time for each dish. Wasted time. The table next to us got lukewarm coffee. In the end got charged extra on the order because staff entered wrong item and did not give check before running card.

Very nice location, nice room, big room, very friendly staff

Restaurant on site was nice, food good. Unfortunately they had not enough staff for the amount of people who wanted to have breakfast. We felt sorry for the girl who was running around and do everything she could. It was hopeless.

The view is gorgeous, and the small downtown area had just enough restaurants, shops, and galleries within walking distance. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, yet convenient to all of Acadia and a short drive into Bar Harbor. The restaurant on-site was terrific, too.

The bathroom could use an overhaul. It’s just old and in need of replacing. It was clean though.
