We stayed at the Calvert House, right on State Circle. Great location, view, historic setting and super convenient for touring downtown Annapolics. I would highly recommend to others.

Our room was on the 4th (top floor) and apparently under the HVAC system which ran all night and was loud enough to make getting to and staying asleep difficult. In retrospect I would either check the room first or stay on a lower floor in a quieter room.

Unique historic lodging spread across three properties. Check-in for all three properties is in one location with the other two properties a short walk away. The big draw of staying here is the proximity to all of the shops and restaurants. We loved being within a 5 minute walk of everything. The property has a lot of character and is generally well-maintained.

Late night room noise resulted in us waking at 1am and 3am. Could hear every conversation in the common area and everyone who went in and out. Our room was on the ground floor of the Robert Johnson house and would greatly benefit from additional sound proofing. The bed didn't help much either since we felt like our heads were sinking into it so much that our feet were higher than our heads. Also, there was some broken glass underneath one of the bedside lamps.

Everything related to the Hotel was great. I loved how clean, beautiful, and classy our room was. I love using my key card or phone (when the app worked) to pop in from the street into the secure, classy facility.

I had an issue with the Valet service leaving my car double parked too long (though I asked them to move it quickly; it was not possible for me to move the car any closer, given the busyness of State Circle) and the car was hit, while still double parked, by a driver turning from East Street. They did make good efforts to resolve the matter, and comped me for the remainder of the service.

Two young gals at the front desk had no idea how to communicate other than click away at the computers in front of them. When I asked during checkin if we had completed everything and were done. One of them looked perplexed and did not know how to answer without being rude about me not understanding her emotions of her face that we had all completed. When we checked out the next day the smae gals were again unable to carry on a coherent conversation other than the logic of the computer screens in front of them. Pretty strange feeling.... like we were talking with robots.

I was in Annapolis for an event at the Naval Academy. This property is very close and makes it easy to walk to the Yard.

I was a solo traveler. If I had been there with my husband it would have been a way too small of a room. I was in the Maryland Inn room 1307. I was there two nights and was annoyed my coffee station was not refreshed AND there was no coffee in the lobby. I have stayed at the Maryland inn before and my room was much bigger and there was morning coffee. It worked for me on this trip and I didn’t think to call about the pods until it was too late and I left the next morning at 6 am.

Cool history especially in the lobby area where they did and archeological dig and have a glass floor showing it. Also the rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and everything looked clean and nice.

The lobby is a historic building but the rooms are in a new hotel addition, and our room had a window to an inside ballroom area where events were held so there was no natural light. If I was there for an event and I could look out my window and see it I may have appreciated that more, but I was not there for an event.

It is very convenient and unique. We have visited Annapolis many times, my husband graduated from USNA 50 years ago, but we had never actually stayed in town before. The decor is lovely. We had some issues with the cable tv and the maintenance guy was there immediately. The staff are all extremely cordial and did there best to answer any question or concern.

We wish there was some kind of breakfast served, continental or otherwise. they certainly have the ideal room for it just beyond the elevators. The beds were a bit too stiff for my liking and the option of a blanket, as opposed to the heavy comforter, would have been welcome. We asked that our room be serviced two times in the four days we stayed. The first time was not completed until after we returned from being out for a fairly lengthy outing and the second time ended up not being done “because they were just so busy”. The supervisor came by and “explained” this and said she would send someone to make the the bed and tidy up while we were at dinner…..no one ever came back. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The room was beautiful, the beds were very very comfortable, the staff was lovely and we were able to get a late check out. The location was perfect!

We arrived late Saturday night and there was a wedding going on. As soon as we entered the lobby the music was blasting. When I asked if we would be able to hear it in the room the answer was that they would be wrapping up shortly. This was a costly hotel. The music went on for at least another hour. Our room was right above the atrium. I would never have chosen this hotel if I had known this arrangement. It’s a shame because it is a beautiful venue for a wedding and a beautiful hotel for guests. I really don’t know how to fix the problem except to somehow alert guests when booking. Overall we had a nice stay and the room was beautiful, exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect. The staff was lovely. The noise was a real disconnect.

There are three small hotels run by this company. We stayed in the Gov Calvert House. Lovely small hotel with beautifully appointed rooms in historic style. Very comfortable King bed, good size room, nice view. Steps from the town dock, restaurants, museums and shopping. Walked to everything. Hotel is tucked away on a quiet street across from the state capital building. Very convenient, quiet and quaint.

Excellent central location. Great value compared to other options in the area. Historic charm. No issues at all with check-in, room, etc. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The only issue is that it is valet parking only at $32/night. The hotel made this very clear ahead of time so it was expected. I will say that the valet staff was polite and professional. Also very quick to retrieve our vehicle upon request. Downtown Annapolis has a lack of parking anyway so not really anything the hotel can do about it.
