We stayed at the Calvert House, right on State Circle. Great location, view, historic setting and super convenient for touring downtown Annapolics. I would highly recommend to others.
Our room was on the 4th (top floor) and apparently under the HVAC system which ran all night and was loud enough to make getting to and staying asleep difficult. In retrospect I would either check the room first or stay on a lower floor in a quieter room.

The Inn is right across the street from the State Capitol. And shops are on the same block and all around the historic circle, as well as within blocks, and by the water. Everything I needed was there.
The State Capital was had scaffolding all around the base. There was so much construction on the circle I had to pay for valet parking, which added to my total expense. It could have been an issue but I went with it, and enjoyed so much of Annapolis.

The location in the historic district is ideal. The historic properties provide the perfect backdrop for a visit to Annapolis. The staff is exceptional.
This didn't bother me personally, but I could see a guest being dissatisfied with the small room. It's a historic building...it comes with the territory. It was nicely done, had antique/reproduction furniture, an antique fireplace mantle for decor, etc. It was like a bed & breakfast room. I found it cozy but it was small by today's standards.

Right on the roundabout circling the state capitol building! Right in the heart of the old quarter of Annapolis, and perhaps a 20 minute walk from the Naval Academy or any other part of the old quarter. Annapolis is a beautiful city to walk around, and this Inn is right smack in the middle of it.
There was nothing about our stay that was unpleasant, or couldn't be perfectly well understood by looking at it. The Inn is an historic building with a more recent addition in the back, rubbing elbows with/surrounded by other historic buildings built in the 1700's. Our room only had a small window facing an inner courtyard, but really, other than a 2-3 rooms at the front of the Inn, all of the rooms could only possibly face in to the courtyard, or out ... looking straight into some other building. So a non-issue. All other things about the room and placement were quite excellent!

I stayed at the Maryland Inn, my 2nd time staying here. I choose this inn for its charm and perfect location! Walk to shops, restaurants, waterfront, Naval Academy. Very quaint, comfortable room. Enjoyed the Drummers Lot tavern. Great spot for a relaxing drink.
Only negative was parking. I parked in the garage down the street, worked out well, but I was a little nervous when I had to walk to the garage alone at 4:30 a.m. to head to BWI for my return flight. ( I was a solo traveler, met up with family in nearby town)

Location perfect. Cleanliness. Lovely. Except for a very strong mildew smell in hallway. Beds, pillows, linens were heavenly.
The very young, I’m assuming inexperienced, young lady at front desk was very Nice, but needs more training in greeting, answering questions, being informed about area. The valet was hard to find the night we arrived and the next day. We just parked ourselves. The shower bar was hung incorrectly so that the curtain hung to the floor and slid down to center of bar. Not really a problem, but might need to be addressed.

Unique historic lodging spread across three properties. Check-in for all three properties is in one location with the other two properties a short walk away. The big draw of staying here is the proximity to all of the shops and restaurants. We loved being within a 5 minute walk of everything. The property has a lot of character and is generally well-maintained.
Late night room noise resulted in us waking at 1am and 3am. Could hear every conversation in the common area and everyone who went in and out. Our room was on the ground floor of the Robert Johnson house and would greatly benefit from additional sound proofing. The bed didn't help much either since we felt like our heads were sinking into it so much that our feet were higher than our heads. Also, there was some broken glass underneath one of the bedside lamps.

Great location and such a nice little place…just what you’d expect in Annapolis. Room was very spacious. Would definitely stay here again if/when I visit Annapolis
A/c broke the night we stayed, BUT they did have someone there the next day on top of it. Valet parking is very convenient because u just drive up to main property and the. Get dropped off at your property, but you will need to text/phone ahead when you need your car so just a heads up.

Excellent location! Staff was friendly and room was very clean. They had coffee in the main area and the sitting rooms are lovely.
The Drummer’s Lot Pub was closed and the staff wasn’t sure about if it was open or not. There is no restaurant or breakfast option. The windows in our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the reception room and dance floor. There was blasting music 2 of the 3 nights right into our room. We felt that the staff should’ve warned us of the poor location of the double bed room and given us another choice. This wasn’t mentioned to us.

Two young gals at the front desk had no idea how to communicate other than click away at the computers in front of them. When I asked during checkin if we had completed everything and were done. One of them looked perplexed and did not know how to answer without being rude about me not understanding her emotions of her face that we had all completed. When we checked out the next day the smae gals were again unable to carry on a coherent conversation other than the logic of the computer screens in front of them. Pretty strange feeling.... like we were talking with robots.
