A beautiful, carefully restored historic inn! The food at the restaurant was superb, delicious & beautifully presented. Staff at the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. Location was fabulous, right along the Tred Avon river. It was wonderful to stay at such an historic location. Oxford is a lovely town

If you're looking for all the modern conveniences, this isn't your best choice. We were OK with no TV, limited hot water (early in the morning - it was fine at night), and the "cosy" rooms. The period furniture is so pretty, and the stairs to the second floor, while obviously old, were wide and shallow and easy for us to walk up and down. It was just amazing to stay at a place that has seen so much history.

Our stay was very relaxing. It rained a lot and we couldn't do a lot. The view was outstanding. The room was comfortable, the breakfast really good (loved the homemade strawberry preserves) and the staff was accommodating. We were celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary.

Had some trouble with the wifi and where was the tv? But, it was good to just be together, just the two of us.

The Inn was old, smelly, dusty and alittle spooky. No tv and not alot of room to move around and the bathroom was awkward BUT this was one of the greatest over night trip ever! Staff was super friendly and it was easy to get to. Food was great and what a beautiful little town!

The shower was small and no water pressure and would go from scolding to ice cold and back to scolding. We had to move the bed to close the door to the bathroom.

The Inn is historic and located right by the historic Oxford Bellvue Ferry. We stayed in the cottage and it was cozy with a nice view of the water. It had a Kuerig coffee maker and the bed was comfortable. We love the town of Oxford and it's convenience to the Ferry for trips to St. Michaels.

I wanted to stay inside the actual Inn but we were moved to the cottage because of a problem with our original room when we checked in. It was considered an upgrade. Disappointed we didn't stay inside the historic inn but we did eat at the restaurant which is excellent.

Location could not have been any better. We faced the bay, it was quiet, peaceful, clean and precisely the break we were hoping for. The room we stayed in was not in the main house, and let's just be honest is VERY out dated, and yet we did not mind one bit! The wifi was solid, so the lack of a TV didn't matter, the restaurant was charming, and our meal was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

I'm always going to want a ceiling fan, and a softer bed...it still would not sway me from staying here again. The overall room is VERY dated and while not a deciding factor, overall something that simply should be noted among the reviews.

Loved the location of the Inn. Very cute place to eat breakfast.

We were seated and then seemed to be forgotten. People came later than us and were even given their food before our order was taken. When we tried to explain to the waittress that we have been waiting...she just said you will need to be patient , we are really busy. The young gentleman who finally came to wait on us was very apologetic and he was wonderfu.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff was nice. The hotel was clean and in a great location. There was no TV in the room but that was ok because we were outside in the beautiful town. Parking was easy.

Quiet, peaceful and incredibly picturesque location - our large group was also lucky to have most of the inn to ourselves during a midweek stay…. Fabulous breakfast outside on the terrace made our stay all the more enjoyable!

We were expecting a very old/historic inn - so smaller size and aged infrastructure in the rooms was in line with what we anticipated…

Lovely location on the water in a quaint, quiet town--very walkable; it was perfect for a getaway weekend (our 30th anniversary). The chef is exceptional, the staff attentive. Even the reading materials in the room were unique!

The bed could definitely use a new mattress!

Loved the history of the Inn. The room and bathroom were small but quaint. Enjoyed using the large common room on the first floor to gather with friends and enjoy a card game and glass of wine. The Inn was right next door to the car ferry that took us over to another town for dinner and shopping. Saved us the time of driving all the way around the water.
