Our stay at The Wildset was absolutely divine. First we started with dinner at Ruse, the roasted oysters were stunning, and the burgers were incredible. The next morning we almost missed breakfast, but thankfully they kept it out for us a bit longer! The croissants were so good we had 2 each, quiches and the yogurt was delish. Coffee was A+. The hotel is SO close to everything, right by the Maritime Museum and the Crab Claw, and right down the street from Justine’s! They even had a fire pit going for s’mores even though the dew point was at about 75 haha. Something else we wanted to note was that the WHOLE place was SOOO clean. Smelled freshly mopped every time we entered any common space. We did not want to leave our stay here, and will 1000% be back.

Absolutely nothing. We enjoyed our stay so so much!

It’s a new hotel centrally located in St. Michael’s. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the design and experience by the owners (who btw are onsite and are so friendly and attentive to your needs). The beds are comfortable, bathrooms and rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. They even include a sound machine for those who are light sleepers. Breakfast is complimentary and while it’s light (yogurt with homemade granola, fresh croissants and coffee) it’s a good amount to get you going in the morning and tasty.

It’s an older restored home so we did hear guests walking up the wooden staircase, but the sound machine helped mask the noise.

Very comfortable bed and bedding. Cleanest hotel ever. Saw a worker bleaching the stairway, was pleased. Pleasant staff, bath lovely. Wonderful stay! Can’t beat the downtown location, restaurants walkable. Huge fire pit with s’mores out back. Breakfast great to grab on the go. We loved it!

Just the too large bed frame for the mattress, can catch your foot or knee on it if not careful. They could put some kind of soft guard on it possibly, especially for kids and older folks. This is the only issue we had over three days there.

The rooms were clean, spacious and new. The service and the location were great. You’re right on the Main street with shops and just a few minutes walk to the water. The hotel gave out complimentary s’mores at night to use at their fire pit, complimentary breakfast, and some dog treats in the room at check in. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and we’ll definitely be back.

They have a policy that your dog isn’t allowed to be left unattended in the room, which we weren’t aware of until arrival. So its bad weather, then you may be stuck in your hotel room since you’re not allowed to leave your dog unattended and dogs can’t come indoor dining, etc.

Everything was beautiful, clean, and well curated! Perfect for St. Michaels. The check was smooth, our room was adorable and they even gave us some caramels for an anniversary present. The lobby had a very cute, well curated shop and a coffee bar. The breakfast in the morning was pastries and coffee that were fresh and delicious. We also stopped by their restaurant, Ruse, for a cocktail and some oysters. Their happy hour menu was well priced and tasty! For additional amenities they gave guests the option to take bikes and helmets out for the day. The bikes was very cute and had baskets for shopping! They also had s’mores for all guests and a fire for roasting at 7:30 every night! We loved our stay, it was so worth the price!

If I had to choose one thing I didn’t like it would be that the rooms weren’t very sound proof. Our room was on the first floor right off the lobby so we heard a lot of movement throughout the day and morning, but it was quiet at night.

Such a cool boutique hotel in St. Michaels! We loved our beautiful room in back overlooking the fire pit. The breakfast was a great start to the day with croissants or muffins, yogurt with granola, fruit, and coffee. The bed was so comfortable! We could walk to restaurants, shops, and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum was almost our back yard. Super friendly staff! We loved making s'mores on our last night!

There's not a ton of parking on site, though we found a nice on-street spot on one of the nights. Rooms are not very sound proofed, but that could be because we were on the ground floor.

The facilities were newly rehabbed (and ownership changed) since the time we stayed at the prior hotel three years before. The rooms were particularly neat and well-decorated. Our room overlooked the firepit, where they hosted smores roasting, weather permitting.

The sink was a platter sink that didn't drain effectively. The breakfast, a straightforward continental affair, was a wee bit underwhelming, and the on-premises restaurant only opens for dinner. Also, the walls were thin enough that we heard the next door guest's TV, which she kept on throughout the first night.

Breakfast options that were included could be improved. Really, all other parts of your property were wonderful. Happy hour with the amazing bartenders was great fun! Unfortunately we could not get dinner reservations this trip but will try another time.

Coffee tasty. Healthy and delicious breakfast: lush yogurt/fresh specialty granola, biscuits. Easy to transport back to room. Ruse, the inn's restaurant was very expensive, but entrees were delicious. Comfortable outside seating on porch and outdoor dining area. Enjoyed sitting outside on our second story porch.

Shower backed up while showering. Occasionally too much traffic noise. Better window light blocking in room at night, please. To be fair our room was in a freshly renovated building across the street from the main inn. A grace period for shakedown is always warranted.

It was okay - but I like bread/pastries warm. I did like the way they were served. Dinner was excellent and the entire staff very friendly.

I did not like all of the stairs in the building. It was difficult getting our luggage upstairs and was dreadfully loud. I think that the property needs at least one elevator accessible to the more elderly guests. We had a great deal of trouble getting the TV to work: no guide; too many stations, etc. At least 1 more trash basket!!!
