the hospitality of the staff was exceptional! They went over and beyond to make our stay a memorable one! valet, doorman, front desk, luggage handlers, ALL FANTASTIC!! The location couldn’t be better! within walking distance of a of great sights. The Boston Library is a block away. The Prudential Center is 2 blocks away! Newbury Street is one block away! So many great restaurants and shops within minutes walking. Fenway Park is only 3/4 of a mile away. The Princess Suite is very large and comfortable! Comfy beds as well! Boutique Hotel was easy to get in an out of. Charming!

We had the Princess Suite which is very large with a walk-in closet and big bathroom but a small kitchenette would’ve been nice. Has a mini fridge in the closet but that’s about it. So much space could’ve been better utilized! The in room safe is too small to fit a laptop. A bigger safe would be nice.

The location was exceptional, with lots of shops, coffee houses, and restaurants, and only a short walk from all the tourist spots. (Copley Station on the green line literally across the road) We arrived early witht he expection of requesting to hold our bags but the room was already ready so we could go freshen up. The room was huge and very clean. the bed was also huge and so comfortable!! All Staff were polite, and courteous and couldn't do enough for you. Great bars downstairs, and although we didn't eat, they do all serve food, and the cocktails were fabulous!

Absolutely nothing... we will be back!!

Ideally located, right next to Library and Copley Plaza easy walk straight to Common and all facilities.Free Bus transfer from Airport via Logan Express to 50m from Hotel. Huge room, huge beds, excellent facilities, immaculate cleanliness. All Staff were smart, polite, courteous and very helpful. Lucky enough to get room upgrade on arrival. Three bars to choose from to drink and eat till late. Staff had great tips for eating out, places to visit etc. I forgot hairbrush , no problem ,free hairbrush from reception. Umbrellas in room. fluffy white dressing gowns. Lovely bathroom products in plentiful supply.

Bars can get busy later at night , but staff always found a table for residents as priority for nightcap or supper.

The employees were exceptional. From the minute we drove up to the entrance to our checkout the service was exemplary. Each and every staff member greeted us, asked how they could be of service and concluded with “Is there anything else I can do for you today”. We stayed there for five nights and this happened without fail. The historic property is elegant and has a welcoming cozy feeling. Clean and well maintained. Great location within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.

nothing our relatives were staying at the Fairmont and told us it was disappointing compared to the Lenox!

Location was perfect, in the center of Back Bay where all the action is! Room quiet and large! Very good shower (although in the bath)! One of the best hotelbars ever, only on our last night overcrowded… If we don’t come back to this hotel it’s because we don’t get to Boston anymore but we’ll tell all our friends

We missed a good restaurant and breakfast was not to European standards (eggs, pancakes,…)! Wished for some lighter suggestions like croissants, baguette,…

The Lenox is luxurious. As frugal folks who usually stay at Holiday Inns or other "name brand" hotels, this is a whole different experience. We chose the Lenox for convenience as we were getting married at the Boston Public Library and while the price tag ($300+ a night) shocked us a bit, we were willing to pay the price to guarantee we got to our ceremony on time. It was worth it. We loved our stay. The staff was all EXCELLENT from the check-in folks to the bell hops to the valet. On the night before our wedding, we went out with our photographer and officiant and the doorman was conversational, polite, and a joy to be around as we waited for our car. He spoke about his previous 12-hour shift but he was still upbeat and cheerful. We really appreciate customer service and let me tell you, you'll get it here. Oh, and it's PET FRIENDLY! We brought our 10 pound chihuahua with us who is very well-behaved. There's no additional fee for pets but they do need to be quiet and left crated in the hotel room if you intend to leave. So, if your dog barks or doesn't do well in a crate, this might not be the hotel for you to bring your furry buddy. It worked out amazingly for us. Atari enjoyed the stay.

Mostly, the price was outside of our typical range, although for Boston and for the service, experience, and quality, it seems well worth the price. I would highly suggest price shopping and finding the best deal (for us it was Book.com with over 50% off the hotel's "retail price").

I have not stayed at The Lenox for 10 years. I returned to The Lenox because my previous stays were excellent and I was not disappointed. All of the staff are unfailingly polite, cheerful and helpful. The housekeeping staff kept my room immaculate. The room size was very good and, as I had requested, it was a quiet room. Good choice of breakfast menu and all the food I ate in the hotel was a good quality. Unlike many larger hotels in Boston, The Lenox has a wonderful homely welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is in a perfect location for many nearby restaurants and bars, there is a transport stop (the T) one block from the hotel which makes it very easy to get around the city if you don't want to walk. If you like walking, it's only about 10 to 15 minutes to Boston Common and from there you can walk downtown or to the harbour front. You can also do a lovely walk alongside the Charles River.

My only criticism is that the Bar seemed to be used quite a bit by younger people whom I'm not sure were staying at the hotel so it was difficult, as a resident, to find somewhere to sit if you just wanted a drink in the evening although you could go into the main restaurant and sit at their bar.

Central location in Back Bay was essential for our work and ease of access to Copley Metro was very practical. Room was incredible spacious and even got a complimentary upgrade to the room. Couldn't have imagine a better stay. Hotel staff was amazing.

One thing perhaps, the hotwater for tea should be direct from a boiler as oppose to a thermos. Certain black teas need water to be as close to boiling as possible to get all the healthy properties extracted.

Great location in Back Bay. Within walking distance of the Red Sox in one direction and the Freedom Trail/downtown Boston in the other. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the service from the hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded. Rooms are historic with open fires that we didn’t use. And we loved The Lenox sign on the top of the hotel.

This is a classic hotel, a little weathered and old around the edges. It has character rather than polish. We liked that but others might expect more finesse.

The staff is always with a smile ready to help. Really nice building and rooms. There is complimentary coffee, tea and fruit in the morning at the lobby. Exelent location.

Some times we felt a food smell, that may go through the air conditioning duct reaching the room and aisle on 7th floor. Nothing serious but you can improve on that.
