Inn on the Sound

It was beautiful. Easy check in. Everyone was so kind and personable and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. Directly across the street from the water and quick walk to public beach. A nice area downstairs to relax and view the water. Breakfast could be taken outside with a view of the water. Drinks available 24 hours. Cookies available when we arrived. Everything was decorated beautiful and soothing. Room very clean and inviting.

We probably had the 1 room without a water view. But, we booked very last minute and I am thankful we were able to stay. But, make sure you check as there is at least 1 room without a view. We did have a lovely view of white hydrangeas. However, there are so many places in the home and patio to view the water you really aren't missing much by just sleeping a room with no water view. Also, I know this is super picky but the pillows were too firm and big for me. However, they were perfect for the person who traveled with me. I ended up using a folded towel as my pillow. It would be perfect if the room had a variety of different types of pillows. Maybe if I had asked they might have had different pillows. Everything else was PERFECT, so the pillow thing was just my own quirk.

What a jewel of a place. From the seamless and prepared check-in to the special touches in the guest rooms - chocolates, water, information list - to the friendly and supportive staff where our request for an earlier breakfast was quickly accepted with no change in the menu, we could not have asked for more. Breakfast itself was delicious and fresh. The rooms were spotless and the view was spectacular.

Generally, we can find some area where we can make a suggestion, but in this case, we loved it all.

Spacious room, most comfortable bed we've ever felt. Seriously, we could've stayed in the bed all weekend and it'd have been worth it. Amazing view, courteous and attentive staff.

VERY thin walls. We felt we had to whisper the whole time because you could absolutely hear everyone and everything around you.

We had the lovely room up front. The balcony overlooking the sound was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time out on the little balcony watching the water, had a cocktail and ate our breakfast out there, and had a fantastic view of the moon over the water. The attached pic is from our balcony chair. Room was roomy and comfortable. The entire inn was friendly and comfy. The food was FANTASTIC and I wish we could have hung around for whatever was being cooked for later in the day because the intoxicating aroma filled the entire inn as we were departing.

Like most old inns, the bathroom was small with one sink and not much counter space but hey, that's part of the charm. There was a light filtering shade over the main window in the room and I wish this had been light blocking for a darker sleep but other than that, not much I didn't like here.

This place was a beautiful getaway…Lisa was very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Best part they upgraded our room to a king for the night with a balcony and beautiful view of the ocean…will definitely be back again… you won’t be sorry to book a room here. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We requested a room with a balcony, but though there was one available they wanted to charge us another 100. We were only there for a night so we passed. Our room was fine, but the bathroom was way too small and needed a little TLC. We were looking forward to their wonderful breakfast, but as we were leaving early they kindly packed us a breakfast to take with us.

We loved the location and our room! The complimentary breakfast was delicious! We will be coming back if we ever need a night away. But, we will book a king bed instead of a queen. Our bed was too small.

The Inn was absolutely perfect! The view was amazing. The Inn was immaculate and we appreciated all of the thoughtful little extras that made us feel spoiled. The king size bed and pillows were so plush and comfy. Highly recommend!

This property is beautiful and is in an amazing location. We specifically went for the Falmouth Road Race and couldn’t have asked for a better view point. I can’t say enough about Debbie and the staff. Incredible friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to make sure every need is met. And the breakfast and snacks were absolutely delicious!!

Everything was wonderful!

Our room was very comfortable and well-furnished. The breakfast and coffee were delicious! We appreciated the contactless check-in and check-out. The Inn was quiet and relaxing. All our needs were met! There were also free cupcakes for everyone staying at the Inn one day when was someone's anniversary - as a coincidence, it was also ours, so that was a wonderful surprise treat!
