Allen Park Motor Lodge

The location is close to several eateries and near shopping and entertainment. The owner, head of cleaning and cleaning staff are AMAZING…as well as the front desk staff! There is a well stocked for sale snack bar in the lobby complete with personal necessities also. Fresh coffee and laundry facilities available 24 hours.

Not that I DONT like it, but there is no elevator….there is only two floors but the jacuzzi rooms are mostly, if not all on the second floor (which is where I usually stay)…for someone with a mobility issue, it can be tough getting to the room, but it’s worth the work…that’s why I keep coming back!😊

The Allen Park Motor Lodge is a facility that I have known since the day it was built. I grew up four blocks from its location and stayed and swam many times. In recent years I make it my "home away from home" when I am in the greater Detroit area and am always pleased with the cleanliness, comfort and convinence they provide. I will stay there as long as I am able since I know how spacious the rooms are and amenities they provide.

The room was clean, renovated, spacious, cool, the water pressure was great, the bed was comfortable. What more do you want. I watched the Allen Park Motor Lodge being built in the late 50's and many of us kinds from the neighborhood swam in the pool the the first season. When I am in town I stay at the Allen Park Motor Lodge because it is like coming home.

The motel was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the location was convenient and the environment was great.

There was nothing in particular I took issue with. Maybe some things could have been better, but there was nothing I needed from the motel that I didn't get.

i liked the little store in the front office/lobby, it was really convenient and fairly priced, I went in thinking it would be overly priced but it wasn’t! lol I also just liked the the overall look of the place. The front desk people were nice.

There were little things like old crusted food or something on the bathroom door. The chair was all stained, I didn’t let my baby anywhere near it!

Location was good - easy to find and close to our destination. Front desk staff was very helpful and kind. They even accommodated for parking our 25 ft trailer. Washrooms were clean. There was also a TV and mini fridge. Was a good stay!

Floors were a little sticky.

Incredibly clean rooms. I did my routine check for bed bugs, stains, hair, etc. and found nothing at all. Bathrooms were well stocked and bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was great, shower was clean. Staff were very easygoing. Great places for food within a 10 min drive.

No breakfast but coffee was available in the lobby for the better part of the day. The Jacuzzi room was clean and comfortable and a decent value. There were many very good restaurants nearby and it's 15 minutes from downtown Detroit.

There was no food available except for snacks that could be purchased from the front desk. The facility is located on a main road, Southfield, which is very busy and noisy. The furniture is quite old and the toilet wasn't filling up properly. It wasn't repaired during our 2 night stay there.

I was here in 1958 when you opened (a number of us used your swimming pool). I grew up five blocks from your location and almost every day passed you. You became a staple of my home-life and a constant reminder of home, of Allen Park. It was great to be home again and to enjoy your facilities. My stay was very comfortable, bed was comfortable, the shower was great and the location ideal. The staff was fabulous and so accommodating. I plan on staying here every time I am in this area again.
