Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Rapids-Airport 28th St

I stayed here many years ago and since then the place has been renovated. The renovations are very nice. I like the special touches about the built-in night light in the bathroom and the lighting under the main door. Lobby and working area for computers was very nice.

There was a newer employee that had been working only 2 months at the hotel that was very helpful however I think it was one of the managers that had a poor attitude. We asked for late checkout and she was very difficult to work with.

I was amazed at the response that I had from Jen. I think this reservation was made and canceled two or three times and she had given me the best advice. She was absolutely amazing. Sadly I do not remember the name of the lady that greeted me when I got there, but she was also very helpful. We had a room that would sleep up to six but did not have adequate linen (for the hide a bed) or towels. And she was great at making sure that everything was taken care of. The breakfast was also good. I have dietary restrictions and was able to enjoy the oatmeal. But the waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy we're definitely enjoyed by the rest of our guests. This would be a great place to stay if you have a stop over in Grand rapids

Sadly, we stayed there last year and we were really looking forward to the hot tub. And we anxiously prepared to go in the hot tub and we're very sad to find out that it was no longer in operation. I did speak to Jen the next day about it and she reassured me it was no longer on the website . Truthfully, had we known that in advance we may have gone elsewhere. She reassured me that they will be renovating it soon and may have a different hot tub

The location was excellent due to all the stores/restaurants on 28th street, as well as the quietness and pond in the back. The hotel was very clean and staff was very kind and accommodating.

Online the pictures reflected a jacuzzi in the pool room, however upon arrival there was no jacuzzi.

I was greeted upon arrival by a very helpful agent. We needed room for 5 and she wheeled up the rollaway for us and got the needed bedding. This allowed our 5th person to sleep very comfortably (that was me). The location was easy to find and better weather would have allowed us to walk from hotel to stores/restaurants nearby. Breakfast offered scrambled eggs and sausage, make your own waffle station and a variety of juice and Pastries.

The shower is really great. The staff was really nice. The room had a couch and a desk so I wasn't on the bed the whole time

The location is kind of odd, but I'm not familiar with the area and GPS didn't have a problem finding it. It's a little pricey and the more upscale amenities are wasted on me, I just don't use them

Really loved the breakfasts. There was a lot to chores from. The pool and hot tube was relaxing. A the ladys at the front desk were very helpful. I would stay there again. Thanks for a relaxing time.

The kids that were running up and down the hallway in the evening, maybe that is the way they parents get them to calm down for bed time.

By ad thought there was shuttle to airport....when arrived found out that shuttle was not running because of COVID, not sure what COVID has to do with it, but cost me taxi ride which I was not counting on. Also breakfast was not served early enough for early morning flights

Shuttle service and vehicle parking while gone five days.

Room only had one towel for 2 people. Yes, I could have gone down and gotten another but, it was too late and I needed to sleep. So, I just blamed it on my husband! But, to be fair, the room was not totally ready.

The room and amenities were great!The breakfast was wonderful, as good or better than you would get in a restaurant (worth$15-20 easy) We appreciated the shuttle service to GRR airport…Brenda was so nice. Love that it’s only 5 minutes away!!

A little hard to find. It’s location is near a costco mall but also abuts the woods and is quiet with a beautiful lake/ pond view outback. Shuttle service stopped Saturday noon so we took an Uber to the nearby airport. Restaurants are 10 minute walk if you’re without a vehicle.
