SpringHill Suites Midland

This was a very nice hotel, either newer or remodeled. We were about 10 minutes from downtown and Dow Gardens (which was the reason we stayed). It’s close to restaurants and coffee shops, and shopping. There’s a steakhouse within walking distance. They have a great pool/hot tub area, which I happened to have to myself for about an hour. The breakfast area was really good, with clean tables and hot food. There is a also patio outside where you can enjoy your food.

Our room door was tricky, when you opened it, the deadbolt popped out, preventing it from closing automatically behind you. It still locked properly but you had to do manually. A couple of times the bathroom light did not come on when you pushed the button.

About a month after we stayed our credit card was for an unknown reason charged a second time for the price of the room. My husband immediately called the hotel and asked for an explanation. They said, “Well you stayed here on such and such a date.” My husband said, “Yes, we did but you already received the money and there is no reason you should be charging my card a second time.” The hotel did not provide a solution so we had to dispute the charge with our credit card company. That was very disappointing as we loved the room and the overall stay.

Staff was helpful and extra friendly and approachable. They were not overtly intrusive like some staff at hotels can be and were assuring that they were there for any questions, requests or concerns. The jet tub was gorgeous and very relaxing and updated. The room was immaculate and comfortable.

The location is pretty generic therfore throwing me off about the pricing they charge for their rooms and also it was a bit of a concern that their continental breakfast carton milks were spoiled. At first i thought it was simply slush from being frozen a bit but it was most definitely curdled spoiled milk. But they handled it immediately.

Everything! Staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating. When I explained to the woman at the front desk that we were traveling with a toddler, she upgraded us to a larger room that would better fit his pack and play. The room was lovely, great amenities, absolutely wonderful breakfast, beautiful pool/hot tub. Comfy bed, great location. Wonderful everything! We will definitely book here in the future for any trips in that area.

The only things I could complain about were the bar not being open - but you could purchase beer and wine at the front desk - and not enough pool towels.

The space was large for a solo traveler and the bed was comfy. The front desk staff was friendly and acvomodating.The kitchenette was a lovely surprise

$200 for one night is not worth it. For that amount money I would like a whirlpool tub and there was only a shower or at a minimum a concierge.

Breakfast was good, everyone was friendly.

Not a comfortable place to sit. The office chair was hard, sofa is too deep—if I sit all the way back against the cushion, the seat cushion is just below my knees. The bed was awesome, very comfortable.

The bed and spa tub were super comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive 🖤 One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

The only reason I got the suite with the spa tub was to use my bath bomb and melt after a long week but was notified when I got there that I couldn’t use my bath bomb and if I did would be charged an additional $250 🥺maybe just put something online for people before they make their reservation also found coffee trash in the cabinet under the sink

We've stayed at this location before and have been happy with the location, the size and condition of the rooms and especially the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and saved us from making an extra stop.

The bed was very uncomfortable this time. We have Sleep Number beds at home and in our RV and are quite spoiled by them. Got about 2 hours of sleep. Beds have been fine before.

Price. I work at the local hospital and had packed s bag as I travel 30 miles to work and a heavy snow was predicted. The price was raised higher within a matter of a couple of hours-due to the forecast I am sure

The pool is well maintained, the staff are super nice and were very accommodating. A very clean facility!

There's not much to complain about! Our only issue was noisy neighbors, who were in the block of rooms next to ours and were partying on Thanksgiving until almost 1 in the morning. Besides that, it was wonderful.
