Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Detroit North - Roseville, an IHG Hotel

The King size bed was very comfortable. Nice size room 👌

The booking through booking.com was terrible When we got to the hotel there was no reservation we were not the only party 4 other parties that use booking.com were in the same situations showing no booking or reservation schedule, Some with payments made completely. 🤔

Great breakfast (sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc.). Generously sized room (one king bed, one chaise lounge, desk with rolling office chair, etc.). Friendly staff. One unexpected but very welcome touch was the extra uplighting in the room above the headboard and cabinets.

Upon entering the room, we'd get a whiff of a scent that smelled like someone smoked there before. Could have been commercial cleaning product, but not sure. The first room's smell was somewhat strong. We called the front desk and by the time we walked down to it, Jeremy already had another set of keys ready for us for a different room. Second room was better.

The breakfast was excellent. The buffet food was fresh. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean like it should be, better than the usual.

The pancake machine was out of order. The window shade was electric and the controls didn't work right. The primary shower head was loose in the wall and stuck on a massage setting.

Everything about Holiday Inn was exceptional. I have no idea where they get their mattresses and pillows, but I would love to have them in my bedroom. The pillows don't go flat, and the mattresses are so comfortable that they help you sleep.

The check-in process was a little long, and confusing because there was an issue, but the staff took care of the issue; usually don't have a problem with check in.

Room was great. Very spacious, very nice. I'd like to conduct zoom meetings with the lighting in the bathroom! (LOL) The huge walk-in shower was beautiful. Nice surprise! Neighborhood was safe, accessible to highway, plenty of parking. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Water pressure in shower wasn't great...such a beautiful shower then kind of a letdown for pressure.

I loved the fact that the hotel is very updated and modern. The people working in the hotel were very nice as well ! Me and my family definitely will be back. Very nice stay and for a reasonable price.

The heat was turned too high in the pool area, other than that everything was great !

This was a great location for the reason we visited the area. The hotel was very clean, great breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling in the area.

Fire alarm went off two mornings for no reason. Phone in the room was not connected .

The hotel ran out of towels, they did not restock my soap, and my bathroom floor wasn't as clean as I would have liked. However, I was comfortable and will possibly return.

I absolutely loved the staff! there was one man in particular (though all staff were great) that truly made it such a great experience! I wish I knew his name. I cannot talk highly enough of him.

I did not like the construction. I also did not like being charged an extra 25 dollars on top of what I already paid.That is false advertisement and if you are going to charge 25 more dollars that should be noted when you book.
