The best thing about the property was the helpfulness and friendliness of the front desk clerk, Amanda. We had trouble with the air conditioner in our room (it was very noisy and just wouldn’t run properly). This room was 211 and tucked in the corner and didn’t have the best view at all. However, the next morning we advised Amanda of the problem with the air conditioner and despite the hotel being full we were given a lovely room, 318, where everything was working properly. A great view of the beach and a bit away from the pool, which was great for us. The hotel is a bit dated but kept clean. If you look beyond that and come and enjoy the view you will have a good stay. We particularly enjoyed the balcony overlooking the beach. Breakfast was breakfast sandwiches, muffins, coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt and some fruit. You take from the lobby area into your room to heat up the sandwiches. Breakfast was adequate.

There is no privacy between the balconies. One patron thought it was okay to watch a tutorial on his laptop at high volume and we got the pleasure of hearing it. Not enjoyable. Not hotels fault but inconsiderate guests.

Location is beautiful. Kids loved the pool and the bay. They also loved seeing the duck families. Bed was super comfortable and there was adequate pillows. Rooms are bigger than any I think I have stayed in before....that was a pleasant surprise. Located in a convenient location to everything you need. (Make sure to visit Pearl's Louisiana Kitchen for awesome food!)

Attention to detail when cleaning is needed. It is a lot better than I expected after seeing the most recent reviews. Shower knob in room 101 is backwards. Not enough blankets on the bed. Breakfast is very, very minimal. And, there are no options for those with dietary restrictions (ie diabetics). Clerk at the counter on our 2nd day wasn't very happy about our request for a new sheet for the sleeper sofa (daughter spilled milk). But, we got one none the less. He just seemed super put out by the request.

needs an update. looks like they did a coat of paint and changed furniture but you can tell its a really old property that hasnt been updated for a very long time. old finishes and touches that standout as a cheap flip. no elevator. parking spaces were narrow which was tight for large SUVs. Folgers coffee from a machine…? Umm, ok. Grab and Go breakfast was bummer, with no restaurants within walking distance or close drive. no hot tub.

i could gush about this place for hours. roxie was a SWEETHEART. the bed was huge and comfortable. the spa tub felt amazing. the hot water stayed hot in the shower. we were on the ground floor and close to the car. the tv is huge and visible from the bed. the alarm clock had charging ports and TWO time displays. the lighting was adjustable. the room was huge. they offer spa bags with bath salts and stuff to enjoy and they were super ice. all the inroom toiletries were fancy. plenty of towels and an extra blanket in the closet if we needed it (we didnt, the heat was perfect) its our second weekend at pointes north, and we will not be staying anywhere else in TC.

Would have been nice to know before hand about having to leave a $100 cash deposit. Also front desk lady accepted my payment of cash for room and deposit. After we got to our room (bout 20 mins.) She called room and said I needed to come back down to desk. She said she would have to give me my cash back and I would have to pay for room with a credit card. I told her I did not have a cc to pay with. She told me it would not let her enter the cash in the system because I booked through booking.com. I told her cash is cash and her system wasn't my problem. She then said "it's ok I think I got it" . I just feel that she did not know what she was doing. Very unprofessional she was though. The only other thing was bathroom floor was gross! It had long dark hairs all over it.

Large beach area, friendly staff, nice views and location.

Bathrooms need updating, showers too small would suggest removing jacuzzi tubs and making a large walk in shower. Could clean a bit better to remove cobwebs etc from rooms. Should ensure screen doors work so balcony door could be left open ours would not and blinds would not open all the way.. if you have a lake view you want to see it.

No elevator but staff willing to help to bring our luggage to the room. Lots of mosquitoes and dust surrounding the heater vent and balcony door. Jacuzzi stopper is not functioning well and it kept releasing water.

We enjoyed our three nights stay. Our room was comfortable. We had a nice patio to enjoy the gorgeous view of the beach. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

I had to scrub the mold buildup in the shower with my Tilex bathroom cleaner before using it. Shower was surprisingly smaller than usual but that’s because hot tub is in the room. Lots of insects at night but i understand that’s just because of the lake.

Good breakfast selection for continental style

Unfortunately the people below us and over 1 balcony didn’t obey the smoking rules and smoked all the time in their balcony. They tied blankets to hide their smoking and the smell was continuously in our room. We couldn’t keep our slider door open. Very frustrating and they told the front desk it wasn’t them it was further down.
