I really liked the hospitality of the staff. The decoration of the bedroom was also good. They cleaned my room regularly. Both the bathroom and bedroom were very clean and equipped with necessary stuffs. If I were to visit Minneapolis again, I would be happy to stay at the same hotel (Nicollet Island Inn) again.

Everything was excellent except the air conditioner. I could not controll the air conditioner from my room. Eventhough it was winter, sometimes the airconditioner cooled the room instead of heating; I had to call the front desk everytime this happens. The lighting in the bedroom cold have been better.

The inn is beautiful and we loved the histric character and ismall size. We didn't have breakfast at the inn but had dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the bar and restaurant were lovely. Beautiful view, attentive staff - we felt well-taken-care-of. Our room was wonderful - loved those huge shuttered windows that opened to a romantic river view. Inviting linens and nice toiletries. We had a great walk in the morning along the river. The location was also so convenient to our event- a 3 minute wait for an Uber and a ten-minute ride there.

Only would have been better if we could have stayed longer.

On top of its vintage charm, I found the services were generous and the staff were all very nice. I arrived early due to my air travel schedule, expecting to spend time somewhere else until I could check in. When I got there, my room was ready and they let me in my room with no problem. The staff asked me if I would like a cup of coffee, so I asked for tea and water, which she got me with no charge! Its famous restaurant was playing one of the jazz classics which was perfect with the hotel atmosphere. The room was so quiet and peaceful. Its neighborhood felt safe to walk around and there are many nice restaurants within walking distance. It’s only 10 minutes away by car from UMN where I went to see my son. I am glad I chose this hotel rather than those by UMN. If you appreciate a vintage style and want a quiet special time, I would recommend this place. The price was reasonable even during the high season.

My only complaint was that the air conditioner didn’t warm up my room well. I had to put on a bathrobe over my pj to sleep.

This is a charming place. I had stayed there once before and wanted to share the experience with my wife. The inn is lovely, and we scored a corner room overlooking a bit of the Mississippi River and a tree-lined park. The room was beautifully appointed and spacious, the bed very comfortable. And the windows open. Also, the location for Minneapolis is almost unbeatable. First, the island itself is lovely. You are within steps of downtown Minneapolis and even fewer steps of the neighborhoods that are on the East side of the Mississippi. All in all, perfect.

When we travel with our dog, every arrival and departure entails the moving a ton of items. Here, while there was a luggage trolley available, it was not easy to use, so I schlepped everything up (and then down) the stairs. Fortunately, we were on the second floor, so it wasn't so bad. Also, I think their pet fee ($50) is a little on the steep side. We're accustomed to paying $20 or $30.

Very stylish, awesome location, beautiful rooms and interior at all, ideal for pet owners for walking along the river Mississippi. The best fraise I’ve eaten ever, respect to chief.

Reception staff is very indifferent, disrespectful exists - especially a guy bartender in black shirt who didn’t understand needs of the clients and reception asian girl who dropped me in the middle of checking out process, moreover she wasn’t able to explain me clearly an issue with linked wrong bank card to my profile. That left a bad taste. Unlikely I will be back to this hotel. Sorry.

We were in town visiting family and friends so didn’t eat at the restaurant, but it was certainly crowded every night. Next time! Truly exceptional option for people traveling with pets. Most hotels in the city are in a cement jungle, but Nicollet Island is part of the Minneapolis Park system, so there are good options to exercise your dog! Comfortable room and bed and all of it! Will choose this Inn for future visits!

Maybe make it free? No other ideas! Exceptional!

The staff is amazing! Friendly and helpful, always around to help. We ate dinner once and it was excellent. We ate breakfast/brunch twice and it was wonderful. The dining room is beautiful with all table locations being nice and private. They have rooms for groups which worked out well for our family. We ate out one evening but came back to the Nicollet bar to watch the AFC playoff game and ordered many of their amazing desserts. The bar is a great place to go for drinks and/or coffee and dessert.

They didn't have Dangerous Man beer on tap! This would be a good addition. Also the rollaway beds need to be upgraded. The rooms only have one bed so accommodating 3 people is difficult.

It was a fantastic older building. The room was very quiet. The location is convenient to some coffee shops within 5 minutes. If you don't need tons of amenities, this is a very unique retro accommodation. Housekeeping services were top notch. Tried 1 meal in the restaurant and it was very good.

Would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. Also, the temperature is centrally controlled to some degree, so took some getting used to.

We had the BRUNCH on Sunday, December 25th. The food was ok but very expensive...but being Christmas it was convenient and the staff were always attentive. The dinner on Friday night was very good and more to our liking as it was a full menu. We enjoyed the music in the Bar (relatives of the owner) on 12/23/22 and playing TRIVIA in the bar with fam on Saturday, 12/24 afternoon. They need to stock some Cream Sherry in the bar....just a suggestion. Staff and other patrons were very nice about our two dogs (Welsh Corgi and Cavelier King Charles Spaniel)....they enjoyed it for Christmas Day when we all...including the dogs....wore our Christmas PJ's to the lobby (and Brunch for the 2 legged members of our family) for a photo shoot done by Jenny, Nicollet Island Manager. Jenny was very helpful and a delight! My daughter and I had an in-room WONDERFUL massage from HALO masseuses (Danielle and Sam). They were skilled and lovely ladies to help us get our kinks out! We would do it all again!!

Wish there were refrigerators and micros in the room....BUT....they kept our bagged leftovers in a fridge in the kitchen so we were able to take it all home with us as we live in St Paul.

Everything about this lovely 23 room French inspired Inn was fabulous. The lobby, reception area so welcoming. Beautiful artwork on walls lovely furniture, cozy bar and lounge. The restaurant fabulous, lovely tables set with linen and silverware plus gorgeous chandeliers at every table . Dinner entrées limited but fabulous meal. No room for dessert tho. Every staff member was smiling and very pleasant. I think staff enjoyed their jobs
