Best Western Plus The Normandy Inn & Suites

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was well beyond my expectations and really thought it amazing that they provided ozonated water by the ice machines. Staff were verybfriendly and cordial. Just really overall had an exceptional experience and would definitely stay there again.

The staff were very, very nice, both at the desk and in the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities in the room good.

I cannot eat eggs, so the breakfast menu offered little else. I had the avocado toast and did not like it as a salsa-type spread, all mushy. Almost all cafes where I have had avocado toast put SLICES of fresh avocado on nice, interesting bread, and with a nice mayo and perhaps a few slices of fruit on the side. You might think to improve that dish for non-eggers, or add another. I found it difficult to get a full sleep because of nearby sirens going off in the night Are the windows double-paned? If not, that would help. At any rate, I used earplugs.

Very good location a bit of a walk to Nicollet Mall, and shopping but I knew prior to booking about the location. No big deal. I like the walk-in shower. I like the water fountain on the floors saves, money, and plastic bottle, and very refreshing. My room had a mini-fridge and that was nice to have for snacks.

When checking in person at front desk was surly. (Normandy had great front desk personnel a few years back what happened? Also broke a glass and it fell into the bathroom sink. I asked room attendant if they could clean it up. They did except the attendant just placed it in a plastic bag, along with the towel he used to wipe it up, and just left it on the bathroom sink counter. Also I asked if he could do a mop of bathroom floor just in case glass fell to the floor. I find pieces of glass on the floor. I don't know what happened to Normandy, they used to have great room attendants.

I have always loved this hotel, it is beautifully designed with cozy rooms, and a friendly vibe all around. There is so much history and such a pretty view, it is absolutely my favorite hotel.

For the price I paid, the staff could’ve been more attentive. During my stay on the second night, I called down to the front desk and asked if I could get some extra towels. I was told no because they were “too busy” and “couldn’t leave the front desk right now.” I offered to go downstairs and meet them in the lobby to get the towels, to which I was told no again. I don’t think getting clean towels should be a hard thing, and it was very disrespectful. I’m not sure if I’ll be back, that really made me upset.

The staff was very nice. We were able to take a shuttle to the comedienne's show. This was very nice as we aren't overly familiar with the area.

Housekeeping didn't touch our room. Generally, the bare minimum that is done is beds are made, trash emptied, and supplies (coffee pods, toilet paper, towels) refreshed. This didn't happen. I had to go to the front desk to request a roll of toilet paper and glasses (and was directed to the restaurant for glasses). There were no clean towels offered and no coffee pods provided for morning coffee. This is the first time I didn't leave a tip for Housekeeping.

Everyone I interacted with was very gracious and helpful. Ordered food in the bar and found it to be really good. Would consider going back to just eat and have some drinks if not staying there already.

The only real issue I had was the extra(preprogrammed?) TV functions wouldn’t work for me. I’m guessing the box(?) it runs on May have been bad? I got it chromecast the first night after some tinkering but not the second. Fit me this wasn’t really an issue I was really concerned with. Which is why never brought it up my two days there. I was going to mention it when I left but forgot. Room 272

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and was close to the Armory for a couple concerts we were attending.

The second day when the room next to us was occupied we could hear through some doors that were closed. I believe they were for when bigger groups stay and need two rooms so they don't have to go in and out of each room. I think if they would add some temporary sound proofing in between the doors when used as a single room would have helped.

Nice clean modern hotel. Everyting is in excellent condition. Looks more like a human housing, not a great hive. Good bar and cafe with some tables oudoors

I am OK with weekly service usual for suites. Probably just a couple of tee-bags and small one-use bath set in the room are to be considered for the case you arrived late and assumed to buy your own for the rest of the week. Nice pool in internal hall (enclosed yard) with all windows looking on it. Just, my every time issue is how you should manage with wet swimming suit without changing room and no bathrobes supplied. I could not find a good understanding with one particular staff member (Daniel), but others were absolutely nice to me.

Cost, location, cleanliness, helpful staff with the exception of Pancho. Thanks to Lilly, Daniel and everyone else who was made our stay comfortable.

At check in on June 9, 2022, Pancho who may have been the manager that evening wasn't helpful initially till I insisted the price on Booking must be honored. He'd try to over charge. With a nonchalant attitude instead of offering to resolve the issue, he asked to cancel the reservation which I said no. Initial reservation was $637 and wanted to charge at the higher rate of over $1000. He eventually honored the Booking reservation. Other than that, everyone else was nice. Daniel offered to give up his parking spot because parking was at capacity on Saturday night due to a concert.

I was impressed with this hotel... friendly, efficient staff. The hotel Normandy was very clean and the bed was comfortable & the shower was updated. The pool area was really nice & my husband said the pool though small was the perfect temperature. Loved that the pet fee was only 10$ & the little outdoor area available to take out our dog. And the location of the hotel was great, very convenient & close to The Armory.

Needs better pillows... they go flat, no support or comfort. The on-site bar/ restaurant was closed because of not enough staff which was a bummer but every where has staffing issues these days. So we went to Manny's and had an amazing dinner!
