TownePlace Suites by Marriott Minneapolis Downtown/North Loop

Location was perfect for a Twins game. Room was large and comfortable with nice kitchenette. We were even given a free upgrade for one of our rooms. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.

We booked 3 rooms. 2 were perfect, but one of them smelled strongly of cigarettes. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk, she was able to give us another room, which we appreciated. However, she then also put on a saccharin smile and said, "By the way, we checked the room and it did NOT smell of smoke." It truly did, and quite strongly so. Basically, she called us liars. Very unprofessional.

Complimentary breakfast was good for a hangover. Private parking under the facility that was a plus, it was secure. So we walked and rode the city lime scooters to the near by Comedy club and around to the bars after. It was a great time.

Wish the payment system would have accepted cash and told me that in advance . And a $50 incidental coverage fee That I didn't know about, but you get it back afterwards. The manager on the phone was a little bit rude but the staff was pleasant

My son and I stayed for two nights while in Minneapolis. The building is within walking distance of the TC arena and there are several restaurant options close by. The room was spacious and welcoming. Everything you could need is there.

It would have been nice to have cheaper parking options.

Staff was great, rooms were comfortable and the variety of egg dishes at the buffet breakfast was surprisingly delicious.

They offer free wifi that's so weak as to inspire you to spend $5 per day to get the better version. Quit nickle-and-diming your guests and just make the premium standard. The good news, I guess, is that this is really the only negative thought I have about the place.

Nice hotel it good area, walking distance from downtown. I was lucky to get free parking on the street due to weekends.

Even during day time you need to open front door with your room key (my wasn't working for some reason), which is annoying and creates feeling like it's not safe area. Imho.

Queen suite was decked out with a well-supplied kitchen, a nice couch/desk area, and a comfy bed! The location was also super handy, and the staff were really nice.

The room wasn't fully cleaned when we got there - there were dishes in the dishwasher still and we didn't have soap. Also, the breakfast buffet was kind of limited.

Service was amazing! Mia at the front desk made us feel special from the minute we walked in.

Guests should be notified at check -in that rooms are not cleaned every day.

Perfect location, spacious for a studio, friendly staff.

During breakfast the hot dishes tend to run out quickly during any kind of rush, took a bit of time to replenish.

The breakfast was amazing, tasty, new surprises each day, very well balanced and I could eat as much as I wished. The services were exceptionally gr8 with very friendly staff.

Staff was informed, attentive, and kind. Facilities were just what we were looking for as travelers passing through for a concert. Minneapolis is a wonderful place!
