The location was close to town, and the free parking was convenient. The inn itself had charming decor throughout the property. The room was extremely clean and beds were comfortable. The evening staff person was very friendly and hospitable, and the price was very reasonable.

There wasn’t an elevator so you had to bring your belongings up and down stairs, which was inconvenient. There was an ice machine on the 1st floor only. If you’re on the 4th floor of the inn, it makes getting ice a bit inconvenient. The bathroom was very small, but clean. The morning staff person was not the friendliest, but did allow a later check out time. The original check out time of 10:00 am is too early.

My daughter & I stayed in Room 2 - the best room in the hotel! It has doors you can open wide onto a gorgeous huge balcony that overlooks the main road and the beach and there was a gorgeous breeze coming off the ocean. The bathroom was big with 2 windows - even 1 in the shower you can open so you feel like you're showering outside, which we love. The bed was comfy, the AC was cold, the TV had plenty of channels (not that that matters). There's a cute bagel shop downstairs that even had a gluten free option. The location of this hotel is also perfect...you can walk to everything...even the Washington mall and mad batter. And the Cezanne (I think that was her name) at the front desk is awesome.

Literally nothing.

We had the Cornelius room and it provided and Ocean View and was fabulous. The room was comfortable and a nice size and King Size bed. The room was nicely appointed. The location was great, right across from the beach and close distance to the mall area. The Union Park Dining Room was lovely! Great food!

The bathroom didn't have a vent. I turned on the switch and could hear a vent but could not find one in the ceiling. I think we could have opened the windows but it was raining so we did not. I think the bathroom needed a vent.

What a pleasant little getaway. The Hotel was located directly across from the ocean with views of the ocean from the room and a glorious sunrise shining in the windows. I most enjoyed the fact that the staff did not need to come in the room every day to make the bed and refresh the towels....If we needed more towels or shampoo or Kleenex all we needed to do was ask. We were within walking distance of everything....from the coffee and donuts in the morning...to shopping.... and dinner at night.

Nothing!

Awesome quaint little establishment that is right across from the ocean and in close proximity to everything in cape may. Also has a great restaurant located in its ground floor.

Only downside of this establishment is that there are no elevators. So if you are not one for climbing stairs this may not be the place for you. This was seriously the only downside to this place as it has so much charm.

The location to the beach and the close proximity to Washington Square allowed us to keep our vehicle parked for our entire stay. The hotel was quaint yet charming and the room was all that we needed for our short stay.We would stay at Hotel Macomber again most definitely.

The room is small as is the shower, but was all that my wife and I needed for our short stay. The positive attributes far outnumber the negatives.I would recommend this hotel to family and friends and will surely consider returning for another stay.

Great location, pretty, charming hotel, love the front porch! Only negative is the number of stairs, which are a bit hard to maneuver for two seniors, but this is a minor complaint. Staff was very welcoming and friendly--they never act like they're doing YOU a favor, an attitude I've encountered at other hotels in the area.

As mentioned, number of stairs to get to your room.

The location was perfect, close to the water and near the shops but not near the noise. Walking distance to just about everything! The room was spotless! Bedding was very clean and very comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a historic building and it is lovely, but it does not have an elevator. The only time that was a problem for me was after a very long day of walking but that may be an issue for others.

The historical building was amazing!! The location was wonderful. LOVED the coffee shop/restaurant downstairs!!

There was one woman at the front desk in particular who never looked up from her computer. We could have been stealing or looting the place and she would have never known. We did not feel comfortable asking her any questions in case we were bothering her.

Great location, beautiful lobby with fireplace, room was clean and nice, smallish but adequate space, view of ocean from window. Easy check in/ out. Free parking.

Would have liked a coffee maker or a microwave to heat water for tea. Shower, though clean, was dark and could have used an update. If you’re scared of ghosts, know it’s definitely haunted. We had knocking throughout the night!
