The value was fantastic, the room was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was hot and the water pressure fantastic, the bed was also very comfortable. All in all this place is perfect for a weekend getaway, especially if you want to go hiking nearby. The owner greets you like your family and makes sure you have all the information you need for your stay. He clearly has big plans for the property so don't be put off by the outside appearance. I can't wait to return.

Property was in a great location, very convenient to town and restaurants. The room I had was spacious and clean. It had large windows that let in lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable. There was a huge smart tv in the room I was able to watch Netflix on. They did a great job making my stay comfortable. I even saw a chipmunk and a wild Turkey in the parking lot! The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

This place totally surprised us in a very positive way. Honestly, it's not much to look at from the outside. But each room is uniquely decorated and sparkly clean. The manager Matthew was very nice, and the price was very reasonable. The motel abuts a wildlife refuge, and is conveniently located to ski areas and hiking trails. We walked the lovely Vernon Boardwalk Trail, which crosses the AT.

We knew in advance, so it wasn't a problem for us. But all travelers should be aware that no breakfast is provided.

I loved the contactless check in. The room was beautiful. A full size refrigerator? Very nice, except I'm too short to reach the microwave on top. I wish I was there for a few days. Bed was not tall enough to give nosebleeds as seems to be the fashion, and a firm comfy mattress Two very comfy chairs plus a desk/ eating table for 2. Enough towels and pillows!!!!!

the out side looked a little out dated. we were pleasantly surprise how nice the office manager was and accommodating he was. the room was good. only thing my friend missed was her coffee in the morning ,bc there is not coffee maker or ice machine at hotel. price was good. very nice to work with.

From the minute we booked, we knew this place was going to be great. Apart from being clean and comfortable, the manager, Matthew, looked after us like we were family. We had to come off the Appalachian Trail due to injury and ended up staying for nearly two weeks, taking it one day at a time. Matthew let us check in early, looked after, us and made sure we had everything we needed. We had to move rooms because of previous bookings, so we got a chance to see a couple of them. The new owners are working wonders on the place. Each room has its own special character and the place is being fully revamped. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee spots nearby too. We will be back on our return south!

This is our 2nd stay here. What did we like? Very easy to answer...Mathew. Who is Mathew... the guy who greets everyone with a smile, keeps the place clean,provides security and the list goes on. How many places are there where the manager invites you to join him around a fire pit while he plays guitar and sings for you?

While this motel is very clean and cozy on the inside, the same can't be said about the outside. There has been improvement but it is dated and can use a facelift.

It's well taken care of and clean, not at all what you'd expect from the pics online. I had full size shampoo & conditioner in bathroom that smelled and worked great, score!. The front desk folks are super sweet. The night we stay they built a firepit outside and the worker sang on his guitar- pretty awesome!

I think they can get better pics of there rooms online and hopefully they'll upgrade the front desk and entrance sign to match the value of the place.... although these things mark it for a hidden gem.

It was decorated very nicely— a more “homey” feel than most standardized motels. Room was clean and well furnished with a small kitchenette, dining table and two chairs, nice comfy chairs, flat screen TV.

Bathroom was very small, and there was not anyplace to hang clothes—no hangers, or closet space.

It was very nice to stay at this place. Matthew who works in the front desk was really helpful and accommodating with our puppy too. The room was very clean and nice! Next time that we are in the area we are going to definitely stay here!
