Travel in time in this perfectly restored hotel to its former French glory, in the middle of a small charming town, overwhelmed by beautiful nature. We liked every little detail in the beautiful rooms we occupied, down to the old wood plank floors and framed French restaurant menus from 1927. We came here to celebrate New Year in the famous Delmonico Room and we were not disappointed. Bar Louis does equally justice to its fame.

Everything was great!

Clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed with soft linens. I can say enough about how xlean and beautiful everything was in the hotel. We also found out that they own the hotel next door and this beautiful Mexican place up the street. We will definitely be back.

The clawfoot tub was amazing. I can't help but think it's a huge fall risk though. Maybe some warnings on how to properly use it? We were fine, but I saw a lot of elderly patrons that may benefit. Also...I found it to be a bit tacky that a Room we paid dearly for would charge for water bottles in the room. There was no refrigerator, that was inconvenient. We also booked a room with a terrace when we did the online booking...which is not what we got. Nonetheless, the room and view was beautiful, so we didn't mind. Also, we were charged appropriately.

Breakfast on Sunday was amazing! Tasty, well done and enjoyable. Monday morning was good but it was not Sundays! Room was pleasant.

When there is an event in the garden, the back entrance should be off limits to guests that are not invited. We in seconds could have been “the wedding crashers”! The Expresso coffee maker was not an option i would enjoy.I had to go looking for coffee at 6 am, gratefully the night security guard Tyler was my hero.

The staff and facilities were impeccable. We were beyond pleased. The hotel was restored beautifully. The food at the restaurant was great and they even accommodated our request to be reseated later on in the evening for dessert. Above and beyond in all ways.

It was a very special birthday and the staff did everything to make it perfect. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room was one of the nicest I’ve ever experienced.

I would not recommend the front rooms due to road noise.

It is an historic hotel from 1852 with all the modern conveniences in the room. The bathroom was quite big. The public spaces were comfortable and inviting. The included breakfast was good but not your average fare. No pancakes. No eggs and bacon. No waffles. There was granola, quiche and bagels. Most of the menu is included with the room but a few have an extra charge; extra for bagels was a bit strange. You could get seconds on anything which was very tempting on the mini pastries. The hotel also serves lunch and dinner, again with somewhat exotic menus. It was all very tasty.

A bigger room with an easy chair or two.

We really liked the bathroom amenities and coffee and tea provided in the rooms. The AppleTV in the room is a nice touch as well. The dinner was great and the breakfast was lovely. I especially liked the homemade yogurt and granola, but everything was good. The hotel is full of original Hudson River School paintings, something you won’t find in many hotels. It seems like the management and staff are really on top of everything and enjoy what they do. It’s a great place to stay.

Breakfast could be better….felt like it was an afterthought. Not important. There were not a lot of guests……but we were there and expected breakfast to be a little nicer, set up with a little flair, flowers, ie a pretty room….not what seemed like an extra room with tables.

The staff was extremely pleasant & helpful. The breakfast was delicious especially the homemade yogurt 😋 The location couldn't have been better. If we ever get another chance we will stay there again!

The carpet in the bedroom had numerous stains & the bathroom trash can had trash in in when we arrived. It would have been nice to go downstairs to famous Bar Louie but due to renovations that was not possible.
