Hampton Inn Albuquerque - University/Midtown

Booking .com really let us down on checkin..we received a confirmation ahead of our check in with incorrect booking numbers and were not able to use them and could not check in..The clerk and I called your office to clear it up and it took over twenty minutes to make sure that booking.com had not charged me,because we had to pay the charges with my husband's Visa. People were waiting ,and we were not pleased that our booking.com reservation could not be resolved. We will not use booking.com again at this point and are still contacting our bank weekly to see if we were double charged!!

The evening & kitchen staff (who prepped breakfast) was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They did not make us feel like we were "bothering" them when asking for little things we had forgotten for our stay. Other hotel stays we've experienced the staff had attitude, rolled their eyes and/or hung up on us when calling from our room with a simple question (that was not listed on their website).

Our window's panel blinds were stuck a closed position (seemed intentional as there was no cord attached to it) but we noticed other windows on the same side of the building were rolled open. It would have been a nice option to have to let more natural light in.

I liked and would recommend this property for 3 main reasons 1. location- right next to the Hwy, food, safe! No craziness going on nearby 2. beds were super comfy 3. breakfast selection was great! Full set up:) was very pleased that their weren’t any covid restrictions. 4. staff was friendly and offered water to me and family at check in :)

2 things we didn’t like 1. temperature control was a pain. first it was too warm, we tried turning it down but it was still to warm. then my husband had to get up in middle of the night to turn on the AC. 2. the lights when you first walk in the room was not working

Our room was quite large, with a convenient place to put our suitcase. The decor was modern and attractive, The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom had a large shower, which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable.

We didn't like the fact that the room overlooked a parking and an apartment complex. However, they did have a transparent curtain that blocked the view to some extent. The operation of the ac/heating system was confusing, although we ultimately figured it out.

I loved that they offered free water and free wifi and a delicious cooked breakfast!

The room was really hot when I got there and it was a little hard to sleep but it was fine the next night once I had the maintenance person reset it. Also the toilet was right against the sink so it was hard to get the toilet paper. Not a good design there and it will be impossible for any larger people to go to the loo without sitting off to the side of the toilet.

It was conveniently located not far from the family we were visiting, was fairly reasonably priced, and included a good hot breakfast.

The bathroom sink was too deep, making visuals too far away as for makeup, etc

Good breakfast and nice people working here. Clean room and lots of room in my room to relax .convenient location.

I asked for an emailed receipt when I checked out and never recieved it.

Breakfast was adequate and the space was clean

The manager and his lack of customer service mentality. I also did not like being charged $75 in addition to the room charge, without explanation.

Air conditioning was loud and temperature was hard to control-hot and then cold. Too cold when running , warm when off. Made sleeping difficult.

The electricity went out our first night and the water was cold both days but hotel was very nice! Rachel was awesome and gave us a free night for the inconvenience of not having hot water our stay. Would book there again. Very clean and great customer service and good location
