Denny Restaurant was right there.

The $50.00 deposit and hard to get back to motel, just one way in. Almost had our vehicle towed away for no reason, we had our parking paper on the dash, the office didn't have an answer for it.

The hotel is in a centralized location right off the freeway. Essentially 10-15 minutes to anywhere in the city you'd want to go. Lots of places to eat in the immediate area (from authentic small businesses to larger chains). The staff was excellent. I was assisted by 2 gentlemen at the front desk during my stay. Both were helpful, friendly, and accommodating to the best of their ability. When I arrived it had been the end of 3 long days of driving and I was looking forward to stopping for 2 days to rest and regroup. The employee at the front desk, upon hearing of my journey so far, was kind enough to give me a ground floor room in the back of the lot so that I could just unload the car and recoup in peace and quiet. The rooms themselves are clean and you can tell they gave them a face lift. Layout is similar to a motel 6 room but with more charm/character. The air conditioner had new/clean filters added to them upon arrival. They also have laundry facilities on the property. I was able to do my laundry without having to leave the property which was a great perk for someone like myself who plans to be on the road for 2+ weeks. Though I didn't swim, I did check out by the pool and it is clean and well kept. Many other guests utilized it during my staff with obvious glee. Overall the real selling point for this location is the staff. You get the vibe from them and the small little touches in the room that they want you to enjoy your stay and explore/enjoy their city.

The entrance/exit was a little hard to get to depending on the direction you approached. I usually had to go down a set of lights and make a uturn or make a right turn and then a uturn. Some of the outlets are old so you need to jiggle them a bit to work. And some outlets were almost stretched out in a way that wouldn't let any plugs stay in place. Fairly odd actually but was able to make it work.

Don’t let the appearance scare you! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but all the rooms have been remodeled. Really cute! Super clean. Jennifer was very friendly when I checked in. Great location off I-40 and lots of food choices close by. You cannot beat the price. Great place to stay if you’re traveling through Albuquerque.

Yvette was amazing when we checked in as she had a line of people and still kept her sense of humour and professionalism. Her beautiful dog was a gorgeous welcoming party too. Loved our room! Very clean and the king bed was extremely comfy. So nice to see a motel who provide a compendium of recommended places, and the chocolates on the bed were a dying tradition but always makes you feel special. Denny's next door was an easy walk for nice food. Highly recommended place to stay.

A few "locals" are around the streets but that seemed to be the usual in Albuquerque, no matter where you stay.

I didn't have breakfast. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. You can tell this was an older property and they are really trying to elevate it. It felt private and secure.

The lights above my bed didn't work and there really is a need for more electrical outlets and USB ports. Parking was a little tight. It would be helpful to designate a parking space for each room, in front of that room. I had to unload 3mos of luggage, 2 cats, a litter box and an ice chest by myself an halfway down the parking lot. Also, pets are allowed but my very skiddish kitties immediately ran under the bed platform, which I could not move or lift. Begging 2 skiddish cats to come out before check out was not fun. Perhaps make it easier to move the platform or block off the side spaces where pets can slink into. Overall, it was still a great experience.

The room was very clean and exceptional for a double bed. The rooms located in the back were decently quiet and did not hear much of the outside traffic. The beds were very comfortable and felt safe as we were there for a few days.

I did not like that there is a growing homeless population in the aera. I observe a male shooting up drugs at the gas station across the street. But the hotel itself felt safe but the surrounding area is not so great anymore.

I could not say enough good things about this place! Their goal is to reestablish its original spender, and they are not far from it! From the initial checkin and departure, the staff was Very Coutious, Most Helpful and PROFESSIONAL in every Manner! For tbe Price of the room, it exceeded my every expectation. I've stayed in much pricier hotels that did not even come close the what this place provided!! Thank You ALL!

Even though there is a Dennys next door, a complementary Breakfast would have topped off the stay, but them they would have to raise the price, do iit wasn't really a problem.

They have a Denny that sit right next to the motel that has amazing food and the staff was very nice. It also sit right across the street from a shopping center with a Walmart and Dollar Tree, and the mall is about 5 minutes away as well. The motel staff was very nice

It is in the rough part of town. This is not the suburban area of Albuquerque. However there wasn’t a lot of issues during the day accept at night when the drag racing cars sped through the Main Street the motel sits on and we heard car engines and police sirens all night.

The value for price was exceptional for Albuquerque. The floor, walls, bed and fixtures were uncommonly clean. The soft bed and immaculately clean sheets, pillows and towels were very nice. The front desk personnel were great and efficient. The microwave and refrigerator in the room were brand new and were excellent. Fire safety was clearly important since our room had three smoke detectors, two of which were suspended over the headboard in a manner that subtly said: Don't even think about smoking in this bed. I would always come back here if I could be assured of an east facing room.

Street access to the property is tricky. The property can only be accessed safely while driving north on San Mateo. The placement of an parking lot entrance near the intersection of San Mateo Blvd NE and Prospect Ave NE makes it tempting to try to enter the property while driving south on San Mateo but this is not advised. The west facing rooms may be exposed to loud traffic on San Mateo but the east facing rooms were relatively quiet for a large city. The absence of towel racks in the otherwise adequate bathroom would have been annoying if we had stayed more than one night. The walls were a bit thin. It was easy to here patrons walking in room 226, next to ours in 224.

This motel is definitely a diamond in the rough! Literally a rough part of town ( all of Albuquerque has gotten bad) but the management is on it and don’t mess around. I was very impressed by ALL of the staffs conduct! Very consistent and that is rare. I was very concerned about the location when I came to town because my daughter is a manager at the gas stss as ruin across the street and I know how many problems they have with homeless and drugs. But when I asked if they ever had issues she replied” not so much anymore and if you see anything you just let us know and we will take care of it immediately” you could tell she don’t play either. The property was super clean free from any trash cigarette butts visually appealing. My room was really nice and clean too. The bed super comfy and SOOO quiet within a noisy area! Like I said A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!! will definitely be staying there again next time I’m in Albuquerque

The only bad thing is the convenience of getting into the property if you are on the opposite side of San Mateo
