The Guy at the Front Desk was super friendly and chatting! He explained the room & area to park perfectly. He even let us know continuously that if the room was not met up to our expectations, that he would send someone down immediately to go fix the issues. He really made us feel welcomed & important. Room was very big! Restroom was a little small, but overall very satisfied!

There were a few hairs in the blankets, but we just didnt use those & only the sheets. Carpet was a little dirty, just needed a good vaccum. Unfortunately the pool is not running/working & everyone who works there says its never going to be used. So I believe the only thing that should be changed on the description of the hotel, is the pool. False advertisement for sure, it was outside instead of inside & definitely not working.

you wouldn't know that this is a Howard Johnson property because last week it wasn't. And it still had its old signs up from its previous name, Casa Lemus. The property is extremely neat, clean and well maintained. Food at the restaurant very good. The room was a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice but were learning the new owner's system. No issues, though.

Room spacious and clean; bed comfortable. Staff was all extremely pleasant and helpful and treated you as family and honored guests. Restaurant the same and the food great. Best Chimichanga I have had in a good 11 years.

Pool was closed and Restaurant/free breakfast is shut down post Covid. Wonderful family type operation working hard with small staff to stay above water, from all appearances, and deserving of the chance to do so. They treat their clients with love and respect and work hard to take care of any cares.

Mattress was older, not very firm. Even though I booked a cheaper queen room, I had to pay for a king room for my dogs. Still a reasonable price. Light switch locations were different. Breakfast was a brown bag with juice, an apple and a danish. Not diabetic friendly.

we’ve stayed here every year on our way to Colorado for the past 7 years. each visit, we see upgrades. pet friendly room and grounds. they’ve really added value with a hot bar breakfast buffet at the restaurant complimentary with your stay. bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits etc… very good. big plus.

as I said, each year we can see the improvements being made, it’s an older hotel so the curb appeal needs a little work.

Allowed our pets and had a small dog park for exercise and actually had dog/poop bags in the park. Their food is awesome. It's quiet and I feel safe staying there. Staff is exceptional and extremely helpful with ordering dinner and also during the breakfast service.

Breakfast requires you to go into the restaurant, but I didn't mind. I usually have hubby bring me a plate while I'm in the room with the dogs but I understand dine in service for breakfast which is complimentary buffet of hot breakfast food.

While the hotel was priced correctly for the market it was overpriced for the quality of the room. Quite outdated and lacking in electrical outlets near the bed. The A/C was a noisy 'window unit' - it cooled adequately but was a bit distracting. I had read great things about the breakfast but we were served a buffet breakfast that was not as exciting as the menu.

Property was easy to find and a very large room. Nice hot water! A nice light breakfast bag was welcome too. I always appreciate being able to travel with my dog-thanks!

The mattress needs to be replaced. It was way too soft. When you sink into a hole it’s not good.

I like: • my small pup was allowed in my "pet designated room". • nice, clean, spacious rooms • the excellent restaurant, on the property • the level of overall cleanliness • great staff/ helpful n polite • good location • the ease of getting in n out

Getting up that metal stairs, in the rain, to check in.

It was fine. Very clean, and well kept up. The restaurant was a huge bonus for us. After driving five hours, it was a big treat for us.

The name was different from the reservation name, but it was great we stayed.
