Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albany Downtown

We liked the the friendly and caring staff. It was a very convenient location, as everything related to our stay was in walking distance of the location. The rooms were all up to date and nicely furnished, maintained well, and extremely clean.

I didn't like Marriott taking advantage of the room demand for that date by setting such a high nightly rate. However, I understand the room may have already been sold if they had been offering their normal rate for the room at the time of our booking. I further understand that's the nature of business in a free market.

having to pay for parking or find parking and walk in a strange area. I paid for the hotel by the MVP arena in hopes of parking checking in and just walking to the place but I have to fight through concert traffic right for parking and then walk with my personal belongings down a dark ally and then walk to the mvp arena. paying for a ticket and then hotel room I should have had parking at least.

Hotel is in the center of Albany. Everything is in walking distance. Calm city with a lot of hostorical and beautifull buildings. Some nice restaurants. Little fintes they have and cleanliness is important for hotel management, which is positive.

Women receptionist was quite cold, with no desire to serve hotel guests. Strange and pretty much unexcaptable.

The location was amazing. The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and modern. Everything worked, nothing was worn out or broken.

Check is 3pm; arrived slightly after four. Watched 3 other groups check in, get their rooms and go on. Got to the desk and they had no rooms, even though we had a reservation. Had to wait about 30 minutes.

The hospitality was amazing. Especially Gerald, he was so patient and helpful. The staff in the dining hall was amazing as well. If we come back to Albany this is definitely the place we will be staying at. Thank you guys for such a pleasurable stay.

There was honestly nothing not to like.

Breakfast was reasonable, but the prepackaged items were a bit soggy. The location was ok, walking distance to some interesting architecture near the city center. We were fortunate that street parking was available and free over the weekend. Bathroom was very nice, beds were in nice condition.

Not much in the way of restaurants or activities, especially on weekend nights.

Excellent location in Downtown Albany. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff working there is kind and available for any requests.

One room in this hotel could end up being very expensive, considering what the city has to offers and the category of the hotel itself too.

My daughter forgot her tooth brush and they had none - had run out; also the "store" was not stocked well. They were out of a lot of things The elevator floor wasn't very clean; our door latch didn't work poperly

The staff especially the front desk manager Ryan was super nice and helpful. The property was clean and the location is quite good. I travel a lot and have extensive experience of staying in a variety of properties- from rundown motels to FHR properties. Among all of them, this was one of the better experiences. I recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Albany.

No complaints.

Very good breakfast, with good choices. The location was just right, especially as we were travelling by public transport, so it was easy to get to the main sights.

No window in the room.
