I loved the location! It was a close walk to a great restaurant and convenience store if I didn’t want to drive. But also within 20 mins you were at some amazing restaurants or hikes. Also, the owner was wonderful and friendly and we could see how passionate he was about making this lodge a place for people to feel comfortable. His staff were also so kind and friendly as well.

They were in the midst of adding new amenities and updating some spaces, so I was really just sad that I wasn’t there for the new things. But there wasn’t anything in particular I didn’t like!

The location , the room , the shower and the breakfast .

They charged me twice for a one night stay . I paid in full at booking .com before the trip . When I arrived the lady at the desk asked for a credit card , I told her I paid for the night previously on booking.com. She insisted I give her the credit card for a hundred dollar temporary hold , I gave her the card and I find out after I left that they charged me again ! Plus the hundred dollars! I hope I get my money back ! I came back the next day and I complained to the desk . To Mr. Ord . He said he would fix it . I hope he has corrected this situation. If by next week it isn’t resolved I will be calling Booking .com.

The property had an excellent location, the staff was amazing and very accommodating and welcoming, the rooms were exceptionally clean, pillows, and bed very comfortable. The view in the back of the hotel was spectacular.

I’m used to staying in hotels while I understand this is a lodge. Most people would say there’s no bar to wind down at after being out all day. But Eric and staff were accommodating and would pop up in a bottle of Prosecco at the end of the night and sip by the fire. I would not say that I would prefer a bar, but this was a good alternative. there will be some upgrades happening soon and I would say that the property does need a little little bit of a facelift and updating.

It's a beautiful property with trails you can hike right from the grounds. The rooms are big. We had a balcony and a view of the mountains, which was perfect and lovely.

I have to add that they charged my credit card twice, which caused me endless problems when I travelled on. When I contacted them to reverse the second charge - which was pending - they told me I would have to deal with it myself by calling my bank. My bank couldn't reverse the pending charge because it was pending. The pending charge didn't drop for 2 weeks. My advice, if they take payment against your card, and they don't think it went through, tell them to wait until the next day before charging you a second time. The first payment they took did go through, it was their mistake that they took double payment, and they left it with me to sort out their mistake, which cost me because my credit card was declined at the next stop.

The lodge was very inviting. It had a warm, home feeling. It was very clean. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to speak with guests and answer questions. The staff was very friendly as well. Breakfast was served with a variety of fresh items. I would recommend to stay here for a wonderful experience.

That we had to leave to go back to reality.

Good continental breakfast - hard boiled eggs, pastries, fruit, cereal's, etc.. Coffee and tea with refrigerated milk and half and half were available at all hours. Nice soft music playing in the dining room. We stayed because of the location - close to the Gunks and there were trails that we could walk to just out the back door of the lodge. Close by were many more trails. We were there in the fall, a few days before Halloween, and the colors were stunningly beautiful. Also liked that we could open the windows.

Check in time in many hotels has moved from 3:00 to 4:00 with a $50 fee for both early checkin and late check out. This is one of them.

Room was cute and facility was well decorated and cozy. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the three bulls go hosts. Good value for money.

Shades are too big for window so light comes through at night. Tea lights left on all night so light shined through window. Remote control did not work besides on/off.

Nice woodsy setting and a good breakfast. Fire pit was a nice touch too

The mirror in our bathroom had fallen down and cracked. We had to tell the front desk but the hotel kindly comped us one day. It just looked like the lodge was still prepping for the season so the exterior wasn’t tip top

The location is just perfect. There are trails on the property that are easy and fun. The breakfast was pretty good as well. Rooms had excellent view. Sadly they upgraded the TV the day we were checking out, so future patrons you have something much nicer to look forward to. 😂

A little pricey 😕
