Elmhurst Hotel

Location was excellent-right near the trains into and out of Manhattan. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. You could even park your car in the garage that was a couple of blocks away for about $20 a night.

No immediate parking (to be expected in New York). Also, if you are not used to it, there are a lot of people of all types milling around at all hours of the evening.

The hotel is very good for the price. It was clean (ish), the location is very good (next to 7 Line - 1 minute, and many more subway lines in 6-7 minutes walk), the neighborhood was very decent (safe and with lots of stores and restaurants open into the night).

We got a room with a back view and at about 8 AM we need to turn the A/C on (when it was a sunny day) because it got really hot. So if you can chose...go for the street view room. I think the hotel room is rented also by the hour so this can be unpleasant for some guests. There isn't a storage room to leave your luggage for a couple of hours (it isn't an obligation fron the hotel part, but it can be a nice thing).

I was please with the location. Many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. The room was very comfortable. I would stay at your hotel again.

I do have a couple of suggestions for you. 1) For customers who drive and are not from NY, information for parking garages around the neighborhood would have been very helpful, specially during the night where the hotel's street is packed. 2) Perhaps a couple of instructions on how to use the shower can be posted, this would have been helpful as well. Everything else was great! Thank you!

Location just round the corner of 7 metro line, with many eateries around and very large landromat 2 doors away so convenience is 10/10. Very safe 10/10 and comfortable 10/10 hotel, room very clean although housekeeping may miss 1 day and some small items but no issue once we alert reception. Reception was great and always alert of guests entering or leaving so that was great assurance on safety within hotel, again 10/10. Neighbourhood felt very safe too. Was on 5th floor room facing metro line but had no problem sleeping with the metro noise which is barely audible. Best part is the hotel rate which I believe is the best rate for NYC area 3-star rated hotels 10/10 again.

TV did not work but did not matter to me and did not alert reception as I spent most of the time outside of hotel.

There wasn't a breakfast. Loved the view from my window with Manhattan in the distance. The bed was comfortable.

When I was checking out with my bag at 11:00 this morning, the elevator had failed. I and another man on the same floor had to carry our bags down nine floors. Not a fun ending to the stay. The bathroom shower stall had no shelf to put shampoo, etc. on. Had to put them on the floor. Also, there was no towel rack to put a wet towel on in the bathroom.

A nice clean safe hotel in Jackson Heights. It’s affordable and quality. I’ve lived here for 15 years. It’s important to know there’s good housing for friends and family in the neighborhood.

It’s good in respect of location. Very close to Subway. Many more Bangladeshi restaurants are nearby roads. Commode direction was same as Kibla. It made me disappointed.

Location, Cleanliness, Stuff.

Very clean well done to staff and cleaning staff bed covering changed every second day towels changed daily friendly area they could not be more helpful

It would be nice if they had tea coffee making machine in each room would be great lot of people would avail of this Be nice if outside of hotel was more presentable like flower pots briten up place its very dull looking the taxi driver we got from airport passed it out few times didn't realise it was hotel other than that could not fault it

Clean, not expensive, near subway station, many food vendoor. Secure, even walk at 10 PM. For traveling people. Dont ask about quite community. It is Queen neighborhood I like because I'm traveling around manhattan.

The night male staff is not friendly. Tend to upset when I asking microwave. He did not understand that I reserved the room for 3 person via booking apps. And he look upset when I asked extra towel. In the room only 2 towels. He was upset and said the room is for 2 persons. Anyway in my opinion. That person has a problem with somebody looks like me before. I came frome houston, texas,and I asked politely.

It was close to a laundry mat and the subway. We did have a good view of the subway out the window.

Our room had some dirty napkins/ fork left on the table and the blow dryer was broken. No one told us we had to move our car for road cleaning so we got a ticket. It’s best to use the garage
