We enjoyed the unique setting of the Taylor House Inn. Nestled at the base of a mountain with a babbling stream across the road with a pasture of cows grazing, it was peaceful and beautiful. The home is warm and welcoming as well as the hosts. We stayed in Uncle GIlbert's room and the king sized bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. We enjoyed the homemade breakfast that was served in the dining room in a lovely presentation and the coffee was they way I enjoy it...Italian Roast with robust flavor! I highly recommend Taylor House Inn!

The bathroom could use a little updating. The toilet height is lower and tended to rock a bit. Replacing it with a taller toilet and balancing it would be an improvement. The floor was replaced with linoleum and would be more attractive as tile or wood.

The breakfast was so yummy!! The owners were so nice and attentive! They really made sure we were comfortable and happy. I really appreciate their service. We ended up arriving way late but since we made arrangements with the owners we were able to get in just fine.

The cottage we stayed in felt damp. It made it a little challenging to get/stay comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious! My son and I both loved the egg dish that contained eggs, sausage, potatoes, and spinach.

We didn't realize that our bathroom was off the hall. However, it was a private bathroom and very spacious. I should have read the room description more closely.

The breakfast was wonderful. The home was beautiful. I like that it was remote and not much around.

We didn't read that the bathroom was not located in our room and we were also a little disappointed when we found out there was no air conditioning. We may have overlooked that in the description but it didn't stand out.

This property is very reasonably priced, includes breakfast, and close to the ski resorts. Tessa, the innkeeper made our trip outstanding. The hospitality and breakfast was a bonus. Would definitely come back.

When it rained it was a little slippery walking to cottage. Primarily because I was using a cane. Otherwise I’m sure it wouldn’t have been a issue.

We stayed in Flower Cottage. Private. Simply delightful. Great getaway. DELICIOUS breakfasts! Driving on North Carolina mountain roads is not for the faint of heart, but it was worth it. Already discussing a return visit. Gorgeous scenery! So relaxing!!

North Carolina mountain roads! But the relaxing cottage and privacy made it worthwhile. We needed to be in vicinity for a Memorial Service, but this cottage was a gem. We stay in boring hotels too often, this was a delightful escape.

Excellent service the ownership were very friendly The facilities were very clean everything was perfect in place everything restaurants were very near by

The bed was very small for two adults no television in the room

Location to the start and finish of the Blood,Sweat, and Gears Ride (Valle Crucis School) was superb. The food was excellent with a very pleasant dining room.

Everything was perfect for my needs on this stay.

Thoughtful staff, the breakfasts were excellent, The setting lovely and just what we needed for a restful weekend.
