We loved our 2-night stay at Swiss Mountain Village. We've been traveling across America for two months, mostly staying in hotels or RV parks, and this cabin/lodge made such a nice change. The two bedroom lodge had separate bedrooms and the kitchen was really well equipped. Sitting by the gas fire was very cozy. Fishing for trout in the pond was a bonus! We were in unit 42, one of the top units, so sound from neighbours wasn't a problem.

We were mindful of people staying below us and tried, but probably failed, to be quiet. In an ideal world the cabins would be separate. The lodges are located slightly out of town. Not a long drive, but a bit far to easily walk.

Location was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Cabin was great rustic feel but could use some upgrades.

The cabin could've used some updating. Baseboard heaters were hanging from wall a little and the light cords were draped on them. Couldn't open fridge door all the way because of window trim and baseboard so left drawer was useless. One exterior door didn't close all the way and most cabinet doors didn't meet.. They need to have more parking available. There's 4 units but only 3 normal size cars could fit without blocking each other. The 2 double beds blocked the upstairs door, so you had to move the bed to go on balcony, which was a beautiful view.

The property with was the best part. There is a beautiful lake in the middle and all of the different cabins are decorated so nicely, both inside and outside. Definitely hit the Mountain village vibe. It is right down the road from 2 relaxing, but still hopping, towns and there are ski resorts dotted all across the mountains. My family and I are considering spending xmas there again. Great place

There was only two problems with our stay. First, the fireplace stopped working after the first day. The pilot light kept blowing out, maintenance would repair it, and then it would happen again. Not that big of a deal though. The cabins kept warmth well enough. The real problem was that, if you are on the bottom floor, you can hear everything that the upstairs people are doing. Once again not terrible, but my wife did have to wear earplugs one night from just the upstairs people stepping around.

I loved the location. It was close to everywhere we needed to go. It was very clean and there wasn't anything we needed to call with assistance for or add extras. We loved being able to sit in the front of the location and enjoy the fresh air. It was peaceful and a great place to stay.

The beds weren't the most comfortable but they served the purpose. I also wished there was a television upstairs for when I was ready to relax, but we made it work. These are minor things and nothing that would keep us from staying again if we need to.

Breakfast? Didn’t know there was one🥹 Loved the location. We go to the Highland Games every year so it was good to find this location. Communication with the staff prior to arrival was excellent. Very friendly folks!

Having no air conditioning during an historic heat wave made sleeping difficult. Also the table and chairs in the kitchen were sticky from the humidity.

The atmosphere was wonderful ...beautiful area in Boone ,very easy to get to down town ,yet a lovely wooded surroundings Very close to Tweetsie Railroad . The property was well maintained and clean , We woke to find 6 deer nearly at our door. What a great experience. We were in a wooded area very pretty . We all agreed another vist would be on the agenda.

The beds were great all except the sofa bed , It was tough for me to sleep on perhaps an egg crate mattress would help as a topper over mattress. There was really nothing to make us not want to return .Staff was helpful and friendly.

Warm, cozy feeling - other folks that have been coming back for years that invited us to a fish fry (very friendly people). Beautiful large pond with fountain - great view from the deck. Had everything needed for our stay. Would definetely book again. Beautiful area and not far from grocery store. Peaceful, relaxing!

Liked everything! Just wish we knew ahead of time about the fish fry we were invited to by another individual thats been going there for years so we could of prepared something better (food) to bring to the fish fry invite. Front desk could have told us upon check in or left a flyer so we could have contributed better towards the food for the fish fry get-together.

the water drain was clogged but it was fixed about an hr later after the phone call. Thank you for the prompt service. Very beautiful village with stunning view of sunrise.

The family room is very cold. The heater was working but not big enough for the room. The fireplace was beautiful but did not provide much heat. The stove tops were not properly cleaned. they smelt awful when we turned them on and the smoke triggered my asthma attack. I had the same stove problems in 2 different cabins of the Swiss Mountain Village.

This is the cutest, quaintest place!!! It's like a little village tucked into the mountainside. It reminded me of days gone by when we did summer camps as kids. There was a stocked pond for fishing, clubhouse, firepit area with long picnic tables. We loved the nature incorporated right outside the door with the natural spring feeding the little pond and the gazebo a few stairs up to look out at everything.

There is no air conditioning or it would have been a 10. I will say that with windows open it would be cool enough at night to suffice right now, but in summer months, it would get pretty warm I'm sure!! Our neighbor took up the whole parking spot blocking our entrance into the unit. Did not like that, but other than that it was wonderful!

Very cute and cozy. Full kitchen, w/d, pull out couch, fireplace. Very clean. Grounds were landscaped and taken care of. Cabin had everything we needed and it was small but roomy. Not luxurious if that is what you're looking for. This was definitely a cozy mountain retreat as expected.

Each building has 4 rooms, and the parking was kinda tight. Once the other tenants realized all 4 rooms were booked they parked more appropriately and we all fit in ok.
