I’ve stayed here several times when visiting my daughter who attends ECU. This was the first time I had to have a $100 security deposit on my card - in addition to the room charge. Nowhere is that mentioned in the Booking.com listing. I felt like a second class citizen!

I like the room the beds was very comfortable . I also like that they had an inside pool being that it rained the weekend we were there. And when we walked in the building it was very clean. I like that the staff was very polite and the breakfast lady oh how I loved her couldn't remember her name

What I did not like about the hotel is when you get off the elevator on the 4th floor the ice machine was so loud. In the pool area the ceilings looked unfit, the pool hours from when your checking out is at 9:00 am and check out it's at 11:00 am so that only give you how many hours to swim when you have children with you they be wanting to go to the pool no matter when you're leaving so keep that in mind.

Check in great, Room was perfect, Checkout & Evening host was not the most hospitable...Maybe a little racist.

The checkout host was very persistent about the checkout time and gave us 10 mins to pack up, or get charged for another day. We rushed to get out in time but within 15 mins from walking the dogs and speaking to her at 11am she called the room, and came up to the door to "remind us" so I had to get a little rude with her unfortunately.

The room was very nice. King size bed that slept so good! Plenty of counter spaces for work. The location of the hotel was so close to so many amenities (shopping, restaurants, etc). I will stay there again!

The faucet in the shower dripped. Maintenance tried to repair it but that didn't work. I appreciated the fact that they at least tried to accommodate me. I hate the sound of dripping water no matter where I am. Thank you to the staff!

The location was convenient to shops and stores. Helpful staff.

Had to move rooms. Maintenance needed. Better cleaning needed. The first room I was in, the door did not open properly. Staff had to show me how to open the door because it was defective. There was also a steady flow of water in the tub because I evaluated the room before I unpacked. I was not able to turn the water off. I asked for another room and the staff was accommodating and gave me another room. I get in the next room and evaluated it and found multiple long hairs in the tub. It was a bit disgusting but I was already exhausted from my long trip so I used my disinfecting cleaner to clean the tub and the rest of the touchable places in the room. I’ve stayed at the Wyngate one other time and I was satisfied. I was a bit disappointed when staying this time around.

Front desk personnel was efficient. We had breakfast only one day and it was decent for what it was. (During Pandemic times I am sure its difficult). Bathroom appeared clean. Overall it was fine for what we needed it for and I would probably stay here again if I needed to as it is convenient.

The room and lobby were clean enough as was the bathroom. The air conditioner was not up to par and ran all night (this could have been our fault as we were unfamiliar) The pillows were a bit hard for our liking and the bed way too high (it came mid thigh and I am 5'6"), but that is personal preference. I can see where that would be a problem for an older person or a person of smaller stature. There was a cup left on the floor when we got to the room and the lock did not properly work from the inside, but we used the top latch.

Need two chairs in the room, particularly when you there are two guests in the room. Although a nice chair for the desk, it would have been good to have another rather than having to sit on the bed, which is very high off the floor for average-height to short-height persons or for someone who may have difficulty lifting legs or body so far from the floor. Not good for a person who has to get out of a wheelchair and into the bed. Would be difficult without assistance. Did I mention that this was identified as a mobility accessible room. Bathroom, yes; bedding, NO!

The hotel was clean. Well kept and maintained. The staff was friendly and very inviting. Any questions that I had they were willing to answer and to accommodate. Miss Pat that was doing the breakfast was so nice as well as the lady with the red hair that was helping. Miss Sandy at the front desk was very patient and apologetic when the system went down at check in. Cannot wait to come back.

Room and breakfast was great! The staff was amazing and very nice. They assisted us with extra items we needed.

The receptionist could've been nicer and also the policy of the hotel needs to be added to the booking sites. I wasn't aware they require a $100 deposit although my room was paid in full. He was very rude about telling me this.
