Everything was nice. It was close to what we wanted to do. We only heard one vehicle and that was a motorcycle even though it is close to the highway ,

At first I was a little concerned when I couldn’t get anyone on the phone when we were going to be late arriving, ( due to my phone not working for directions). But as with all of us, other things have to be done amd we can’t do it all at once.I was able to reach them and I believe Rodney was the gentleman’s name who worked there. He was super nice, helpful and very pleasant. The housekeeper was also the same.

We enjoyed the location very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt it was a great place for the price.

It would have been nice to have a TV that had access to apps that would have allowed you to watch Andy Griffith as you are staying in Mt. Airy, were Andy Griffith was from. The bed was not very comfortable. It makes it very hard for folks with medical problems such as back problems, hip problems and overall chronic pain to get comfortable. A mattress topper would be a great idea if the establishment is unable to purchase new mattresses. An ice machine that is available 24hrs, would also be very helpful for travelers with health problems.

Though this is an clearly older property, it is well kept and very clean. There are two great restaurants right across the Highway! We had the Rusty Rooster for breakfast and 13 Bones for dinner. Staff at hotel was very friendly. Pet fee was one time payment which is much cheaper than most! Plenty of grass to walk along with a paved walking trail (not sure how far it goes). Overall it isn’t a 5 star hotel, but we aren’t looking for that at all. We enjoyed our stay!!

As stated in other reviews, the beds were not very comfy, but they were a clean place to lay our heads!

Such a cute and quaint mom-and-pop roadside motel. I love these leftover motels from the past. It makes me so happy to see them being revived and restored. This place was very clean, comfy, and safe. We enjoyed our two-night stay very much. The owner is super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

If you’re a high-maintenance person who's used to 5-star hotels, don’t stay here. You’d hate the outdated (but clean!) furniture, and the small (but clean!) bathroom/shower. I am not one of these people, I love vintage roadside kitsch, so this place was perfect!

This stay was a quaint charming inn with a very friendly and informative staff. I had a very late check in due to some travel delays and the front desk was so nice about it. When I stepped out of the room the next morn. could smell the food cooking from the restaurant 13 Bones from across the road and it was amazing. Staff at the inn told me all about the restaurant and even had a menu, so had lunch there after touring the town of Mayberry. Cleaning staff even took a few pics of me for my travel adventure pictures. Great stay!!

Rooms were a little older but still nice and comfortable. Had trouble figuring out the TV set up so just didn't watch anything. Also, they still use the old key style lock instead of card locks, but that was fine with me.

It was very easy to find. It was just off the main highway enough, but close enough to get to all the stores and restaurants. It was only minutes from downtown "Mayberry". The staff VERY accommodating. I asked for a blanket that I could use sitting in the armchair and he brought me a fabulous comforter. I loved having the comfortable armchair in the room to sit in to watch TV. There's coffee in the room and also a pot of hot coffee in the office. It a "motel" which means that I could park my car right in front of the door of my room. I love that I didn't have to navigate Bobby's and elevators and long hallways to get to my room. Right down the road was Aunt Bea's restaurant which had wonderful food at great prices. I didn't notice any ice machines but I was at Sheetz and just bought a bag so I could fill my cooler for the trip home. Right next door, there is a paved trail to walk on if you are into walking or jogging or bike riding. I had a wonderful stay and I'm looking forward to going back. We went downtown but it was Sunday and most of the shops were closed so I want to go back to explore.

There was nothing but I didn't like, it was a fabulous day and I will most definitely return.

Although it's an older motel, it has been nicely updated, and the room was very comfortable. The room and check-in office smelled very clean, and the room was very well maintained and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in their motel.

The motel is an older structure, so the only negative I experienced was thin insulation between the neighboring room. You could hear their TV and talking at times, late at night. But it was a minor issue compared to so many positives!

The people at the desk were so friendly. The motel itself is older, but has been well maintained and has some updates. It was very clean and that is what’s most important to me. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were very soft! Location seemed to be right in the middle of everything which was nice as well. When I checked in the lady gave me information about the area and told me the location of several things I wanted to see which was nice of her. Overall great experience.

The owners are very friendly.and easy to talk to. They are accommodating if need anything. The room was great . The price is good for this inn.. The bed was comfortably. Nice size mini fridge with a freezer, microwave and coffee machine. They also have kcup machine in lobby you can use. They have a picnic table . Its quiet and can park in front of your room.. Wifi works great. There is a walking trail. But driving is conveniently close to downtown to visit attractions shops..

It's just a simple little quiet motel on the side of the road. It was comfortable, clean, and convenient. It was close to everything that we wanted to do, like Andy Griffith's house where he grew up (not his house on the Andy Griffith Show), the Andy Griffith museum, the Mayberry courthouse, and Wally's gas station.

The only thing that we didn't like was the shower in our room. It was OK, but I would have liked a little more water pressure. Also the water for the shower was only warm, not hot.
