Breakfast was fantastic. The property was adorable. Parking was convenient. We absolutely loved the nighttime front desk worker, she was the best. The room was excellent - robes, toiletries. towels, cleanliness, TWO luggage stands-- really great. Amenities are awesome. Location and value were great.

Our room was so cold when we got in and even with the "heat" cranked, it never really warmed up. It did, however, get my husband and I to snuggle all night and neither of us woke up with fried nasal passageways. So still a 5 star from us!

There were only two things to not like: the room was a little small, and the breakfast wasn’t anything special. *However* the location is fabulous, nestled into the downtown strip full of restaurants, just a few blocks from Mix Bakeshop, which more than fulfilled all of our breakfast dreams. Best of all, the back parking lot opens into a couple blocks of very quiet residential streets and then an awesome dog waking trail that parallels Lithia Park (Lithia itself doesn’t permit dogs.) The trail is road width, soft path fines, maybe half a mile long, with bags and trash cans spaced periodically. It really beat staying out by highway 5 and walking my babies around another parking lot. They even saw a deer, which was a highlight for them. Also, most importantly for any hotel review, the beds are insanely comfy and the shower pressure was excellent. Staff at the desk was lovely and accommodating. I fully intend to just rebook at the Ashland Springs next time we come up. Still a great value even without the breakfast, because that bed!

Room size smallish, breakfast meh. (Single serve Cheerios pre-pak, commercial catering broccoli frittata. Coffee decent but not awesome, nothing to write home about. Just walk down to Mix, problem solved.)

Fabulous breakfast! Delicious quiche and yummy roasted potatoes. Bright and Cheerful eating area and lovely way to start our day... Best Breakfast ever! Loved sitting with coffee in the stunning lobby in front of fire enjoying the sights, sounds and conversing with other hotel guests. All the staff at the Ashland Springs Hotel are welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and safety as the roads heading south were concerning. Special kudos to Katie Joos who went above and beyond in making our stay such a memorable and positive one. The decorations at Christmas at the Hotel and Downtown Ashland were so festive and I felt like I was living in a 'Hallmark Christmas movie'. We are Canadian 'snowbirds' and now make Ashland Springs Hotel our first destination spot on our journey south. We also have shared our past and continued wonderful experiences with our friends and other 'snowbirds' and they now too look forward to spending time at Ashland Springs Hotel. I love the historical references and how the Ashland Springs Hotel pays tribute to its' past. I also appreciate the location of the Hotel as right in the heartland of Downtown District. Thank you for making our stays there so enjoyable. I will always want to continue to drive south vs. flying as then I would miss out on staying at the Ashland Springs Hotel.

Wish we could of stayed longer

I've stayed there before, and this is why we chose to again. It's a first-class landmark in Ashland, and one of a kind old-school roaring twenties hotel that has been upgraded and maintained in first-class condition, the staff is professionally friendly competent and accommodating, and there is a large free controlled entry parking lot directly behind the rear entrance, and a few steps from the front entrance. When we're going to theater in Ashland we always stay there. I am a "local", living within a short distance of Ashland but it's a special event to make it an overnighter at this wonderful hotel.

The hotel has been beautifully restored and maintained. It is in an excellent location for walking to everything. The rooms are very quiet and we slept great. This was our third time using Ashland Springs hotel. Breakfast is well presented and of high quality. There is good space to spread out and enjoy it whether you stay in the breakfast room, move to the balcony tables or take it back up to your room.

It is a vintage classic hotel, so bathroom and bedroom are on the small side when compared to new modern hotels.

It is a nicely renovated historic hotel.

I didn’t like the fact that there was an error with booking and we had two rooms booked upon our arrival. I was told there was no problem canceling the lesser priced room. Instead of a refund I was sent a voucher. I was not given this info at the time of the “cancellation” and wanted a full refund for the second room. It is extremely difficult to call the hotel and get anyone to answer the phone. Even Expedia was unable to contact the front desk.

The staff was friendly, efficient and informative. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Parking was convenient. Rooms are on the small side, but expected that with time period the hotel was built. Nice location for walking around town and getting a good feel for Ashland. This was a quick stop on way to San Francisco and we will stay here on our next trip to California.

Perhaps some meat at breakfast, bacon or sausage.

The location is perfect with shopping, restaurants, park, and Shakespearean Festival super close. The parking is good and the free breakfast was good. The building is historic (so older) but still has everything you need. Excellent staff.

Because it is a historical property and older fashioned, I’m still deciding if I prefer a more modern facility. However, the hotel is charming.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming and the room was very clean and welcoming as well. We liked that people respected quiet hours and the breakfast options were quite delightful. We also enjoyed having luggage carts available.

Everything was great, except the toilet handle had some issues but that's our only comment.

The location is excellent and the views very nice. We were upgraded to a room with a bigger bed but it was quite small for the price.

There was nowhere to sit and enjoy the view and very little space except on the bed! We had looked forward to dining at Lark's but it had no reservations available for our one night. They don't hold space for hotel guests.
