The location is top notch with Noble Coffee Roasters a couple of doors down and easy walking into town for dining or OSF theater. The parking was plentiful in front or in the back of the hotel. The air conditioning during the 110+-degree week was terrific. The ice and filtered water in the common room were a welcome perk every day. The bathroom was very spacious, and the 12-foot ceilings and ceiling fan gave the room a feeling of luxury. The wine glasses, bottle opener, and prosecco split were a nice romantic touch for our anniversary celebration weekend. The quick response when we had to request a water jug refill for the water dispenser was very much appreciated.
The sound of the upstairs footfalls was surprisingly loud and elephant-like. Not sure if the upstairs neighbors were just walking normally or unusually heavy footed. We would have liked more surface areas for things like toiletries, electronics, play programs, shopping goodies, etc. It would have been nice to have one trashcan in the bedroom and one in the bathroom.

I lived in Ashland for years and have stayed at many of the hotels. I love the keyless and unstaffed entries at Peerless. I loved the clawfoot tub in my room. I love the tea available in the lobby. I love the cozy feeling of the small rooms and historic decor. The location is fantastic. The back entrance and patio is wonderful. The shower water pressure is amazing!
I could hear my neighbors coughing or talking or flushing. I would not recommend this for anyone wanting sound privacy. Also, the tea setup needs some help (herbal, please).

We usually stay at our favorite Bed and Breakfast when visiting Ashland but this time chose The Peerless after seeing the detailed beauty displayed in the hotel photos. Not only did we get to see the timeless Jane Eyre at the Elizabethan amphitheater, but we actually then got to stay in a period room, seemingly tailor-made for Jane herself. We didn’t even miss the absent breakfast, but relished our bagels and cream cheese in our luxurious highly-pillowed bed. As its name implies: The Peerless has no equal, is matchless and unrivaled. You won’t be disappointed!

Peerless Hotel: A Charming Escape in Ashland for a Perfect New Year's Eve (or Anytime!) Make sure to check my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more pictures and videos of the property and other travel recommendations. We recently spent a magical New Year's Eve at the Peerless Hotel in Ashland, Oregon, and it was an absolute delight. This boutique hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort, making it the perfect place to ring in the new year, or celebrate any occasion (or simply relax!). Here's a breakdown of our experience: Location: -Ideal for a car-free vacation! The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, Ashland Plaza, and everything we needed were all within walking distance. Perfect for exploring Ashland's gems on foot. - Nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood, it provided a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. Ambiance: - Rich Victorian atmosphere with original woodwork, high ceilings, and antique furnishings. - Each corner is visually stunning, offering a luxurious and opulent feel. Rooms: - Only 6 rooms available, ensuring a personalized and intimate stay. - Rooms are beautifully appointed with fine linens, modern bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities like a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to toast to new beginnings. - Some rooms even feature fireplaces for an extra touch of romance. - And the pièce de résistance? Soaking clawfoot tubs! The luxurious touch adds a whole new level of relaxation to your stay. The hotel's rich history is a definite draw for tourists. Steeping in the past adds another layer to the overall experience. Imagine yourself surrounded by the echoes of Ashland's grand past. Amenities: - Free high-speed Wi-Fi and in-room coffee maker are a plus for modern travelers. - Private back parking lot with a Tesla charging station is a convenience for electric vehicle owners. - The self-check-in process is incredibly convenient, allowing you to arrive and settle in on your own...

The hotel offers a seamless check in system. The facility is comfortably decorated and exceptionally clean. They offer self service coffee and tea in the dining room. Complementary champagne was a nice touch.
A charming facility in a very quiet residential area. Easy walk to most activities and restaurants. The hotel is rumored to be haunted. I saw no ghosts but I could certainly hear other guests moving about in hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff were very responsive and helpful going out of their way. Having access to the huge jacuzzi bath after long days walking was wonderful. The location is a 5 to 10 min walk to the main street through a pretty neighbourhood, I'm disabled and could manage it everyday multiple times. You have access to a common area which was empty most of the time. WiFi was fast. Check in was easy and when we had to contact to innkeeper, she responded within seconds. She let me use facilities that were not public and sent me restaurants that could cater to my allergies. She let us know about a local tour we might be interested in and was all round a legend of an innkeeper.
Being a historic hotel it lacks a few of the comforts we like to have access to like a microwave and TV (this was accurate on the listing, we just didn't read it thoroughly). The room was very hot and stuffy for us so we had to keep the windows open.

The location was very convenient for walking to the Shakespeare Festival plays. Also, it is relatively close to the Safeway and has both the Peerless Restaurant and a large coffee shop next door.
There was not a table that could be used to do anything practical on. A table to sit at for a coffee or a snack would have been helpful.

The location is perfectly located for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. The hotel itself is unique, beautiful, and exceptionally clean. I particularly loved the garden in the back.
It's an old building and so not particularly soundproof. I stay at hotels at least 4 times a year and I am 60 years old. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was fun to stay in such a beautiful historic building. Although the room is small it is decorated so nicely with antiques from the time period the hotel was built…1900 I think. The bed was comfortable and the room was cool with A/C and a ceiling fan which I really appreciate! I wasn’t expecting fantastic water pressure in the shower in an old building like this. What a nice surprise.
Nothing…everything was fine.

Nice mini-suite with jacuzzi. Very atmospheric, with authentic period decor (although modern amenities). The lobby was amazing (although we never saw any staff - entrance was with a code). The room was spacious enough. We greatly admire the effort that has gone into restoring this building and decking out the rooms.
We had a junior suite, but there were no chairs in the room.
