This is the place to stay in Newport, OR. It's close to all Newport attractions. Hunter, the general manager, exceeded my expectations! We had a problem with the mattresses in our double queen room. Not only did he move us to another bigger room, but he also comped us with another night's stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with quite a few choices for hot and cold breakfasts. When returning from our day's festivities, we were greeted in the lobby with iced lemon water, hot coffee, and warm chocolate chip cookies. Outstanding job, La Quinta! We will be returning!

The pool area was very noisy. A couple of unsupervised children were causing quite a ruckus.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Decent-sized pool and spa. The snack shop was so convenient! The breakfast area was well-kept and had fresh food. A great assortment of options. We had the king suite and the size was perfect for me and 2 young kids with a dog, very spacious. Nicely kept laundry room that got our clothes clean and fresh. Lovely location aside from not having a view. Walking distance to dining and shops and the aquarium. Quick access to the historic Bayfront, shopping, and family-friendly beaches.

The room I had could have used a deep cleaning There was a full trash can when we arrived. The corners of the rooms, behind and under furniture, including the bathroom, had not appeared to be cleaned in a while. The bed was super springy and uncomfortable. It would also be nice if there was a way for guests to take their own trash out so as to not bother the front desk after normal housekeeping hours. The pool could be a touch warmer.

The breakfast and staff were phenomenal. The hotel exceeded my expectations, they provided extra blankets upon request & it was a nice quiet sleep. The kids had fun in the pool, and there were plenty of towels. The room was nice and warm, and the view was a forest that provided lots of privacy!

The only thing that could’ve been better was the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and flat. As well as the alarm clock was not reset so all of us (including our infant) were woken up at 6am sharp :( Not the wake up I wanted on my first vacation of the year! The price was $300 for one night unfortunately. I was hoping for some water bottles in the room, but all in all it was great.

We really love the location and the beds are super comfortable. We also love the fact that you have continental breakfast and a 24-hour pool and hot tub!

The only thing we did not like was the lady working the counter the second day we were there and the third day. The lady on the night we checked in was fabulous but the lady that was there the second third day, skinnier older blonde was very rude and impatient and talk down to almost every single person we heard including ourselves. Not everybody's cut out for customer service and maybe she's one of those people. I understand people have a bad day that's why we let it go on Friday but she was the same way on saturday. Anywho aside from her the trip was perfect!!!

All was good, breakfast was great, the service and everyone there was super friendly. I had an emergency arrive and l could no nlonger stay, l requested what could be done and they accommodated to a refund for me and my family. They made it less stressful with everything that was happening back home. I appreciate them so much, thank you for such a wonderful stay.

The only thing l found was the hot tub to not be in working conditions. With the whole thing of covid l'm sure it had something to do with it. And the pool water was a bit to cold 🥶.

Staff exceptionally friendly and even called to let me know I had left a book behind and offered to send it to me after I checked out! Very friendly staff put a smile on my face each day, and we were there 7 days so that’s saying something.

Rooms are a little loud and dark. The bedroom featured windows with a forest view but the desk/living area was pretty dark. I wouldn’t have noticed this much unless I was live/working there for 7 days.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and honestly it was a great experience overall. I chose this hotel mainly for the pool because my son loves to swim, plus it was reasonably priced. The breakfast was delicious and the different flavor of waffle batter was awesome. I ended up leaving my bag behind and they called me as soon as it was found, which was not too long after check out. They were so nice to us and extremely helpful. My son is already asking when we're going to stay again because it's his favorite hotel now. Thank you all so much for your hospitality and we are looking forward to staying again!

The hotel was clean, the staff were so kind and friendly, and it had great amenities! The breakfast included was delicious. They kept it fresh and full during the busy morning. The pool had very accommodating hours too. We traveled with an infant and the staff were friendly to him and interacted in a positive way. We felt so welcome here! This is a great hotel for the price. It is super close to attractions, but has a lot to offer itself. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi tub and it was well worth the slight price increase of a standard room!

There was nothing we didn't like!

I loved the room, it was clean, and the fireplace between the Jacuzzi and the bedroom

The dog poo on the floor Matt's and side door seemed to slam, and worried if someone didn't push it shut, someone could come in without a card. The tweeker car with smashed windows loitering outside and we felt uncomfortable with keeping our jeep closer to our room.

Rooms were nice and spacious, noise wasn't too bad. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. Location was convenient for where we wanted to go during our stay. There was a resent water issues that was being cleared put but it did not disrupt our time there.

Although the hot tub and pool were available, the hot tub wasn't fully functioning with jets, and the water was pretty merky. You could tell it hadn't been clear for a bit and in need of filtering and being cleaned. The pool was good, but it could use a cleaning as well.
