Huntingdon Motor Inn

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet and peaceful and close to Rayestown Lake which is what I needed for my stay. I was impressed with my room size (I hade a king room) and the Bathroom size (I have stayed at places before that were vry small for a king room)

My only thing I would suggest is in the king rooms there is coffee and a coffee maker but no cream or sugar (in your room) If you want cream or sugar you need to get it from the office but there was nothing to transport it to your room either. I like my coffee but I do like it with these options (so just a small detail I would have preffered)

Our first visit to Huntington. Went up to a concert at Raytown Lake. My husband has many medical issues, and although the ADA room was unavoidable, the staff did everything possible to accommodate us. They gave us helpful information about the town. They made sure we knew what to do 9d our key card didn't work. They made sure we were able to get to our destination. They followed up in the morning.

Absolutely nothing

A sweet nostalgic motor inn in a beautiful location. We were here for an overnight to visit a local college. We're two boomers who remember travelling with family in these types of places and we like to support local businesses so we loved staying here. Our room was super clean and very comfortable - we were on the second floor with a balcony. It was too cold for us to use in early April, but this would be beautiful to sit out on in the later spring/summer/early fall. There are gorgeous views surrounding the motel. Both people working the office were exceedingly friendly and helpful and gave us great recommendations for dining options. If our son attends the nearby college, we will be back often!

We visited at what I assumed is the very beginning of their season and it looked like winter all around, including the weather. Assuming they plan to make updates before summer, ex. balcony railings could use painting/rust proofing, outdoor carpet on balconies could stand to be replaced but none of this affected our stay in any way.

Chris at check in was very friendly and welcoming. Place was basic motel accomodations. We had queen bed, bathroom was good size, great shower. Provided toiletries were basic but expected for a motel. For us it was a place to sleep after a family reunion so it met our needs. Free coffee in the morning in the office area.

'nightlight or safety light' was too bright. Would prefer dark room to sleep

I have been staying at this hotel regularly with my two sons for mountain bike trips at Raystown Lake for the last 5 years and love this place. It is a really well run business. The staff is exceptional- super friendly, eager to help and also up for striking up conversation. Rooms have been updated with good beds and nice furniture. Everything is clean. It's really nice to see a hotel that manages to treat guests well and that strive for providing a good lodging experience while at the same time keeping its room rates down.

The location is perfect: six minutes away from Juniata College. Close to the highway and away from other building. Very clean, has all the things I need. The price is very reasonable, one of the best deals I get: especially there is a huge football event that weekend and tons of fans. Glad I got this perfect little gem with great price! Will definitely come back next year!

Wish breakfast were included. hopefully in the future.

The friendliness of the staff was above Par, and the personalized service was most appreciated. I like this hotel, as I don't drive, yet everything is within my walking range, and I enjoy the view of mother nature, seeing cows grazing in the horizon.

Shuttle service from Amtrak to the Motor Inn would be a touch as there is only one train that comes in the afternoon, and one train leaves south bound in the morning

We didn't get breakfast The location was good.

The toilet in the bathroom was way too low for older people. The bed was comfortable, but too close to the wall on the one side. Also, we had a difficult time making our key work on return to our room that night. However, Mora was a great help.

If you are visiting Raystown Lake this is the perfect location to stay at. (I spent three days mountainbiking in Raystown) It is conveniently 15mins away from the park and 1 min away from restaurants and grocery stores. This motel is a mom and pops operation, so the service I received checking in and throughout my stay was phenomenal. The room was clean and the evenings were nice and quiet.

I don't have anything negative to say. The price point was great as the surrounding hotels were a considerable bit higher and I couldn't ask for anything more.

I'm happy to say that this place was better than I expected. It only cost me $100 for a night, and the room was quiet and clean. The bed was pleasant and comfy. The wifi was good.

If I must write something negative, then perhaps the pillow could have been softer.
