Days Inn by Wyndham Penn State

I had asked for a 1st floor room near front desk and was happy with Rm 116 right around corner from front desk.

The fire alarm went off 8-2-23 at 6:30am. Turned out someone burnt a bagel/waffle in the breakfast area. Everyone stood in their doorways wondering what to do. It would be nice if staff had announced down the hallways what had happened,that would have relieved the tension and chaos! We also discovered ants on the TV stand 8-1-23 before leaving for the day. We reported it to the front desk and they did take care of it while we were gone. Unfortunately we saw some on the desk 8-2-23 before check out. It was a concern but ants happen!

The staff are as friendly and helpful as I've rarely seen. I found myself in this hotel in spite of myself, as I was supposed to be in another hotel in the center of State College. I was a little disappointed, but in the end I found myself in a wonderful hotel, whose greatest strength is the human quality of the people working there. I recommend it 100% and would go back without hesitation!

Maybe a bit far from the center. But you can take a bus the PennState and it's fine :)

The bed was super comfortable and our room was clean. The whole hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. We didn't hear any road noise or noise from other guests. The breakfast was good - I'm not much of breakfast person so it was more than enough for me - good coffee! Bagels, eggs, fruit, oatmea, waffles, muffins, yogurt. We had our dogs with us and the area is very walkable. In fact, we walked to the dog park. Our room and our bathroom was very big. We had more than enough room for our two dog crates.

We were thrilled with our stay for price! We ended up in a neat large room off the elevator bank which was noisy when people got ice but super convenient with lots of space. Everything was very clean and I was impressed. Shower stayed super hot and location was nearby lots of food/shopping!

Outside of property didn't look the the best and had me worried, but everything ended up great.

Second time we have stayed there. Comfortable, clean, pet-friendly. Across the street from the Waffle Shop, so didn't try breakfast (Waffle Shop rocks!). Definitely recommend.

Masks dangling off of desk staff is unprofessional. If you still feel the need to wear one, wear it properly. Air conditioning unit was VERY loud when turned to less than 70 degrees.

Pleasantly surprised with condition of the hotel. Price was excellent compared to other comparable hotels in State College. Very convenient location. Well designed room and all necessary amenities. Continental breakfast was better than most other hotels.

Some maintenance needed in room. Paint chips on bathroom mirror and bathroom ceiling.

I liked the comfortable bed and pillows. I got some of the best sleep there that I haven’t got in a while. Also, I liked how clean the property was.

The only thing I wish was that it was a little bit closer to campus. It was very close still, I just wish it was more of walking distance.

The hotel and room were spotless, the room was attractive with a very comfortable bed and plenty of good pillows. The air conditioning, refrigerator, and TV all worked well! We traveled with our Great Pyrenees and there was plenty of room for all of us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

The only disappointment was the grab and go breakfast. We realize that with Covid a full breakfast is not possible, but we did expect more than apples and muffins — a little protein in the form of yogurt or cheese sticks, or perhaps even a bagel and cream cheese would have been appreciated. And real half and half for our coffee, not Coffeemate.

Friendly staff. Was there for a football game and they gave us a lot of info about traveling around town, shuttles to the game, etc. Had what we needed. Breakfast most mornings.

Size of the beds for the room I booked were not what we actually received (booked a room with two queen beds and received a room with two full beds). Was told there would be breakfast Friday morning, but there wasn't (there was on Saturday and Sunday though!)

The rooms are renovated and the place is clean. Breakfast was included. Coin Laundry is cheaper than in similar hotels. The man from the desk was very kind and willing to serve.

Even tough the room was “cleaned” every day, the beds were not properly done. It seemed like they were on a rush to do the room. One day one bed was done and the other one wasn’t, which make no sense, and when they did the beds, it was merely to extend the bed cover over the wrinkled sheets.
