Style and design. Newly renovated and modern. Staff, including valet parking staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had a large ice chest and valet guys helped bring it inside the property.

Room A/C system would not go below 70 even when setting thermostat to 68. Humidity made it feel ‘hotter’. Our room was also right off the pool/bar. Noise level was a little high but not unbearable. Also, the check-in/ front desk is on the second floor from street level. Hotel did. It have an elevator available from street level but did have one from 2nd floor to 3rd floor. Upon check out there wasn’t any coffee available in the lobby and k-cup machine didn’t have any water. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to address, decided to leave and grab coffee elsewhere.

Free bike rentals were amazing! The bikes are super cute and easy to rent out, they give you locks as well. No time limits you can rent them all day. The beds are super comfy and I have sensitive skin so I appreciated the luxury bedsheets. House keeping comes everyday and cleans up, it was nice to have fresh linens and towels everyday especially after a beach day. They also rent out free coolers and beach games if you head to beach but they go quickly so wake up early! The pool is stunning!!!!!

Room's do not face the pool or street in my experience, instead facing a parking lot.

Hotel is clean and neat. Nice staff that make an effort to welcome you. Nice pool and bar area, which apparently get crowded with a hip crowd towards the end of the week. Free coffee and a welcome drink were a nice touch. Good bathroom, soaps, towels and robe.

The hotel feels a bit like a glorified super 8, but a cooler version with a hip feel. Central courtyard, which I looked out onto was a concrete deck. Rooms were nice but felt pretty spare. For the price, relative to others, it didn't really feel worth it and the "coolness factor" didn't offset the spartan motel-like feel. For the right price, I would stay here again but for the same price as other hotels in the area, I'm not sure I would.

Very well located near all attractions in downtown and safe, room is spacious, quiet, new-appearing and well decorated, bathroom is spacious, clean, and with a good shower. I didn't use the pool because it rained and it was chilly, but I can imagine that during the summer its a nice place to hang out. The pool bar/restaurant is also very nicely decorated and with good drink and food options. The hotel was very courteous to void a fee to a last minute modification I had to make to my reservation due to fight delays. If in Charleston, I would choose the Ryder again!

Love, love this hotel! It is as beautiful as the pictures. The decor is fun and cozy. Very clean. Parking is on site. The staff is friendly. Excellent location! Walking distance to everything! Will most definitely stay here again!

The staff is flawless, welcoming yet non intrusive and gave great recommendations for local areas. Also loved the option for us to dine on site and yet still explore during the evening/afternoon. Have already recommended to many of our freinds.

We placed a last minute request for a room swap to have a bath and unfortunately had an issue with the shower. Would of liked being given the option to view the original room prior to changing but no major issue or complaint.

Hotel is very cool - with a mid-century modern meets California chic vibe. The rooms were lovely as were the common spaces. The pool is a tad small but still nice. The hotel is in a perfect location - close to everything. The staff was wonderful. Every person we met from the front desk staff, to the valet, to the pool/bar staff the housekeeping were so friendly and helpful.

Didn't love the $40+ per day parking charge ALONG with the daily resort fee. The resort caters to a younger crowd - think bachelorette parties - and we felt a little old.

Great location and such a cute retro modern vibe! The Little Palm restaurant and pool were our go to hang out spot.

As far as the hotel no complaints! When we went to the Little Palm our second afternoon to grab drinks the young male host/waiter was not friendly when we told him we were waiting for a spot by the bar. He acted like he didn’t want to accommodate us even though the couple offered their spot to us when they were finishing up. Forest was an exceptional bar tender to us that afternoon though!

Location, one block away from the market. The staff was amazing as well, we arrived right at check out time and just wanted to see if we could leave the car and walk a bit, they checked us right into our room on the spot. Valet service took the car and we didn't use it again until we left.

The pool requires reservations after 11am even for hotel guests. The pool has the bar/restaurant attached to it and was really busy when we tried to escape the heat and take a swim. We got in later that day with no issue.

Really stylish surf/Cali type hotel. Beautiful furniture. Conveniently located within walkable distance of restaurants, sights and the river (where there are dolphins). The pool and bar area is neat and a cool place to hang out and get an aperitif. Friendly and helpful staff. They make your favorite coffee drinks all day long for free.

There was a thermostat issue (way too cold in the room) that was only partially fixed. The wifi connection was unstable.
