This was my third stay in three years and it is always a pleasure. The welcome is always friendly and the location is amazing. Carriage rides across the street, exceptional restaurants are a stones throw, and shopping and historical sights are within easy walking distance. Parking is easy as well. We feel so at home here. The staff is very attentive and works hard to ensure a good stay. The breakfast room is lovely and looks over the harbor.

We asked for a quiet room and were placed in a rm directly at the stairwell and next to the elevator and the housekeeping closet. Every guest must come up through the stairs or elevator on their way to breakfast on the top floor so it was very noisy. Also noticed that the rooms soft furnishings were not quite as crisp as our original stay and the shutters were non-working making the room feel very dark. With a little attention to these details, we’d definitely stay again.

We were absolutely blown away by the room we had here! It was so luxurious - I’ve never seen or slept in a bed like it! The room came stocked with cold water which was very much appreciated after a long hot drive, excellent valet service, wonderful staff. I really can’t speak highly enough. As far as location goes it couldn’t be better, a short walk, maybe 3 minutes to the market streets and the main areas. At night when things started to get louder we were delighted with how quiet the area around the Inn was. It was perfect.

Nothing. I can’t recommend the place enough! I only wish she had stayed longer!

Our whole stay at Andrew Pinckney Inn was phenomenal. We were immediately greeted by an awesome valet (hey Drew!) and front office staff. Our room was very comfortable for 4 adults, and everything was very well kept for an old building. The included breakfast was delightful - no need to go out at all. We also went to the afternoon wine and cheese, which was such a lovely wind-down between activities and dinner. The staff was all so friendly and helpful. Location is prime - 2 blocks to the Charleston Market, 4 blocks to the waterfront park and water taxi. Will stay here again, and recommend to anyone who asks!

Nothing. This was amazing. Loved loved loved.

We booked Andrew Pinckney Inn in January, the night before our cruise that left out of Charleston. Now that I have been here, this is definitely going to be my hotel of choice every time I come to Charleston. The hospitality started from the time we valet our car. The valet employee was nice and made food suggestions for that night. The ladies that assisted with check-in were very helpful and told us everything we needed to know about the evening reception and morning breakfast. The thing that really set them above the rest was when we walked into our room and found a birthday treat for me. It included a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and a card. I never told them that it was my birthday, but they saw it in the reservation and decided to do something nice. That just made my day! Breakfast was amazing, and the view while we ate made it even better. I would totally recommend Andrew Pinckney Inn, and I can’t wait until I’m back in Charleston to book again.

I loved everything

This was my first time in Charleston, and I'd come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Check in was swift and pleasant. The staff also helped me with choosing a tour to visit Magnolia Plantation that offered door to door service (I don't drive.) The room was elegantly designed and had all the necessary amenities. Super comfortable bed. The fourth floor dining area offered lovely morning views of Downtown Charleston. In addition to traditional breakfast fare, there were delicious cheddar and chive biscuits, cinnamon buns, and other tasty treats. The hotel is also perfectly situated to a bevy of great restaurants and bars, City Market, but just off the main path enough that it is not noisy.

A window would have been nice. There was a tornado that night, I was a little nervous. It worked out, though!

Extremely central to so much. We walked to all of our dinner picks from here and it wasn’t more than a 10 min walk at most. It is in a quieter side of town so not as crazy which is nice at night. The breakfast and wine hour was such a nice perk and it saved us a bit in breakfast and happy hour. The ladies who worked there, from Barbara to the lovely Scottish lady whose name escapes me now, we’re all so pleasant and did their best to make you happy. The rooms have been updated and we’re extremely clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

If I were to say one thing, the walls are quite thin so very easy to hear your neighbors.

great location. Great speaker/local historian on Saturday evening with cheese/crackers and wine. Very comfortable. Mostly friendly staff.

Room was very clean except carpet could have been vacuumed better. Second day after room service remained the same. Safe didn’t work, refrigerator was noisy so we unplugged it. Jeffrey at reception was unfriendly, however Brittany and ?Tanner were exceptionally kind and helpful. Also the 4-5pm happy hour hostesses were very nice.

The facility has lots of character and is very inviting. The upper level atrium where breakfast and wine reception is held is very nice. Location is wonderful to be so close to the downtown area.

Front reception staff put on a smile, but showed no real interest in helping with questions or making an effort to explain directions. We asked a couple of different times for suggestions, etc., and it seemed to be the same each time....a smile, a very superficial answer with no attempt at really explaining to us how to find it. In addition, the temperature in the common areas was ridiculously cold....save your air conditioners!

This hotel is in the best location for exploring the historic downtown area. We have stayed here several times and are always welcomed by friendly staff (with fresh cookies, wine and cheese!) The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast -- it was OK - it wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I would have expected better quality from this hotel. We usually go out for breakfast or brunch but decided to try the included breakfast. Would probably go out next time.

Very nice overall. Great location, Complementary afternoon wine and nibbles were very sociable and a nice touch. Fridge topped up with water every day, could be further improved by not using single use plastic bottles.

Some light leaked into the room at night through the shutters and around the door. Could make a better effort with recycling. No separate recycling bins provided which was an issue generally in Charleston compared to other places on our trip.
