I loved the southern charm! It was beautiful and with quaint rooms that were loaded with interesting old rare books that you’d find in a one of a kind little unique bookstore. Also, we just loved the staff. Ciara’s was fantastic and helped us get checked in with such a great personality. I can’t remember our two bartenders but they were super personable and I really fancied our conversation. Thank you all! Lastly, we were able to bike ride after dinner to burn some of the calories and feel the breeze before bedtime. I have nothing but found memories!

The property is outstanding.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice ambiance, and location.

There was no hand soap in the bathroom. Also, you only get two free coffees your entire stay per room. So if you have more than two people staying, they have to pay for coffee, and if you are staying longer than one night, you have to pay for your coffee after the first night. There were bottles of water in the room and on the cap only they say $5.00. If people aren't careful, they can easily open the bottles without seeing the $5 label. Pretty cheap for a nice hotel.

Great location

The rooms are decorated with the Gamecock theme: you know you're on the campus when you stay here! The staff was extremely helpful at check-in, check-out, and during the stay. We received great local restaurant recommendations for both lunch and dinner, they did not disappoint. The staff was also extremely welcoming each time we would return from an outing.

It would be a struggle to find something that I didn't like about this place. In fact, I can't even think of anything petty.

Wonderful accommodations! Great location for access to USC campus. Clean, Comfortable and Charming facility. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again soon!

The desk staff are wonderful - friendly, welcoming, and (justifiably) proud of - and knowledgeable about - the history of the lovely old house that forms the center (lobby, bar, sitting room, and amazing upstairs suites) of the hotel. The regular guest room décor is quite unusual, with a funky USC undergrad and sports mascot theme, and the entire experience is delightfully different from that of the usual chain hotel. Beds and pillows are comfortable, and the lounge/bar is welcoming. Several outdoor seating areas are also available for friends to gather. No free breakfast, but being conveniently located in downtown Columbia at the edge of the USC campus, one is walking distance from many good restaurants and coffee shops in the 5-points area. The hotel also has a restaurant. Be warned that there is a $10/night charge for parking, but given the dearth of affordable parking in the area, and the likelihood that a parking garage would be much pricier, it's a reasonable fee. I look forward to returning for another stay!

It's hard to find the entrance when arriving by car; one end of this parking area/entry is gated (presumably to prevent people from using it as a cut-through) and of course that was the end we tried first :( Just keep going around the block and you'll find it. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints!

The room was comfortable and well equipped.

The breakfast was not as described and neither of us would have ordered what we received. I ordered an egg and bacon bagel sandwich..it turned up as fried bread. My husband ordered eggs and bacon and sausage and his toast came as fried bread. We did not have breakfast for the rest of our stay.

Perfect location in the middle of the campus and within walking distance from most sights. Secure parking. The room was really nicely appointed with cool decorations. I liked that the complimentary waters comes in a can and not in a plastic bottle. Bar looks really cool although we didnt go. It makes me want to stay in other hotels of this chain.

The bathroom would benefit from a bit deeper cleaning.

We absolutely loved the location!! Close to the horseshoe at UofSC, the capital building and restaurants. The room was immaculate and the bed super comfy. We loved the South Carolina Vibe and the bar downstairs was hopping.

Nothing really it was perfect. The only thing I can think of is having regular bottles of water for purchase.

Room layout was great, décor inviting and uplifting. Great location. Booked through Booking.com so I didn't have to pay $10 per day for parking.

Overall excellent room a few things needed to be fixed like loose shower handles and refrigerator door didn't stay shut. Shower floor squeaky. Would have appreciated an extra blanket in the closet. Housekeeper day one was pleasant but day 2 knocked on my door 2 hours before checkout demanding to know when I was leaving - rude demeanor.
