no pretense, but thoughtful services, excellent value. Holiday Inn Express has become my favorite place to stay on the way to Disney World Orlando; so I simply booked my lodging at HIE on the way back to NY, with most certainty.

a few more hooks on bathroom wall, so that we can hang the towels to use them during the stay, instead of "dispose" them to the tub after each use due to lack of hooks to hang them up. If we do use the towels economically, it will save some energy and expense.

Very convenient and exceptionally managed/clean hotel. Easy on/off I95 access. Except in one case, the staff were exceptionally polite, helpful and professional.

On Tuesday evening April 26th, I had a run in with a male clerk at the Holiday Inn, Florence, SC. I believe that his name is Taylor, I believe. He was exceptionally brusque, rude and imperious. He was the exact opposite of polite and professional. He reminded you of someone trying to pick a fight with you. I told him he was extremely brusque - he didn’t seem to care. He acts like a high school bully.

Very good location. a lot of food around and easy off the highway. Very clean and fresh rooms with modern furniture and lighting.

During breakfast lady who is taking care of kitchen was rude. She was yelling at people with no reason. I understand that using of gloves is needed without yelling. Half of trays were empty 40 minutes before 10am, also was no bread or bagels. We asked to bring more but nobody did.

The room was spotless and the breakfast was amazing! They didn’t serve just the regular muffins and bagels, but had biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, pancakes and more!

I think the staff could use some extra training/supervision. At check-in, the person had to finish their text message before helping me. At breakfast, one of the ladies kept huffing and puffing and fussing at people.

The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained.

The bed was EXTREAMLY HARD!!! My husband who usually like a firm bed couldn't even get comfortable. That is the only downside to this hotel, but really important to have a comforatble nights sleep.

The location, the room was clean and bed was comfortable and the fact that we were on the 1st floor near the door to exit. The breakfast was pretty decent and I appreciated the cleanliness of the attendants in there as well. B

The room was nice but the blinds didn't work to be able to adjust them up and down. The front desk asked us did we want to switch rooms and we said no. We had just finished driving a few fours all the way there and didn't want to go through he hassle of switching rooms. I would just recommend them checking the functionality of the rooms prior to someone being assigned to the room.

The hotel looks to be newly renovated. Everything from floor to ceiling was super clean. Beds were comfy, pool and surrounding area was clean with plenty of towels available. AC worked very well. I was especially happy to find a ‘pod style’ coffee maker, mini microwave and working refrigerator in the room! Usually in-room hotel coffee makers are terrible and crusty and the refrigerators barely work… not here! Everything was great and we’d definitely come back again!

I didn't like being on the first floor near a side entrance. Didn't need a handicap accessible room either.
