Wingate by Wyndham Columbia/Lexington

We absolutely loved the young lady, Kristiona, that checked us in and worked the front desk. We had several requests over the weekend and she was so helpful and always went the extra mile. Always smiling, always so positive. I make my career as a trainer in sales and marketing and customer service. I have used her as an example of going the extra 10% which takes you from ordinary to extraordinary! She's a keeper! Also, there was another young lady, don't know her name but she worked the morning of June 24th, who was also excellent. We were in town for our son's lacrosse tournament and forgot an extra chair. We asked if you had an extra foldable chair anywhere and she offered to go to her car and get her mother-in-laws and let us use that! We returned it before we left but could not believe what a nice gesture that was on her part. Congratulations on employing such amazing people. The front desk is your face and people will remember their experience with them!! See you next year!

Powdered eggs - but that was ok. Just glad you had a breakfast which was very good otherwise!

The property, rooms and common areas were all very attractive, clean and upscale. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast had a variety of good items. We enjoyed using the workout room and swimming pool, which was very clean and nice temperature. What was exceptional was the desk staff. I accidentally left my purse in the breakfast area. Since there are cameras everywhere, the employee at the front desk saw my purse and immediately retrieved it. Since I had several valuables, and irreplaceable items in it, I was more than relieved, and very appreciative of their honesty and surveillance system. On top of my first error, I made another one. I left an item in the room when we checked out, but Dawn, the front desk employee called me and offered to mail it to me. What outstanding customer service!!! We will certainly come back here when traveling back and forth to Florida.

The breakfast was very good! There was a nice selection to choose from. I liked the varieties of muffins, pastries, and bagels. The waffle machine was very nice to have. I’m glad you also had original flavor oatmeal. Having peanut butter, jelly, and honey available for bagels, toast, and oatmeal was good.

I like the oatmeal made in a crockpot better than the packs of instant. I know things have changed because of Covid, so I was very glad you were able to provide such a nice breakfast. Thank you.

the staff was so nice and accommodating we had to make a reservation last minute after having an issue at another property. check in wasn’t until 4 but they we so nice and had our room ready for check in before noon at no extra cost. checking in and out was a breeze. the room was clean and comfortable. nothing but good things to say.

The bed was extremely comfortable and I really enjoyed sleeping in it. And as far as the TV goes you get an A+ for available channels this is the first hotel that offered most of all the pay channels so I definitely had the opportunity to view different movies and things that I like thank you Wingate.

I was very disappointed that they did not offer any hot breakfast during our stay most of all the other hotels has started breakfast back since the covid 19 but this facility apparently is not ready and offered us a Grab & Go which I don't prefer.

The front desk clerk was exceptional. The facility is very up to date and well maintained.

This is a fabulous facility if you are not noise sensitive. I was awake until past midnight because of people walking around upstairs. Then awakened early in the morning from traffic noise. If I stay here again I will make sure I'm placed on the top floor. The entire facility was exceptionally clean and well maintained except the bathroom. There were shoeprints all over the floor. I think the cleaning staff needs some training on bathroom floors...you can't just squirt cleaner in it but actually have to wash it off with clear water afterwards. The lower shelf of the sink vanity was not clean.

The hotel is beautiful. I stayed there last Christmas and this Thanksgiving. The location is excellent near anything you might want or need. We felt safe at your hotel as all the CDC directives were in place. I was even able to take care of business at TMobile there. It was so easy to get there from my daughter's home. It is located right near highways to bring my family easily to our various states of NC, TN, and GA. We don't "like" staying at Wingate, we love staying at Wingate.

The manager at the front desk was cheerful, very friendly and gave us great tips for eating in the area. Liked her very much. Breakfast was great. Area was clean. Bed was comfortable. Impressed and would stay there again.

Decafe coffee was lukewarm but everything else great! Would like to have coffee all day available and tea if that is something that could be done. Cookies would be nice too.

Sunday's breakfast was nice--especially enjoyed the eggs and sausage patties. Attendants were congenial to the guests, present!

Monday breakfast, understanding an hour shorter in duration--was RUSHED to the point, EVEN the juice and coffee machines were secured at 9:00 sharp! We didn't feel nearly AS welcome!

The location, selection, and temperature was excellent. Thank you! Especially, during and after Covid, while staying at hotels, the breakfast selection has been extremely limited. It was wonderful to have hot food and hot coffee.

Our room was a little noisy, not terrible, but it sounded like someone was working in the room next door, perhaps painting.
