River Terrace Resort & Convention Center

Love that this place is so close to everything!!! Love the creek side balcony! You can walk and have a drink and not worry about having to drive. Great for couples and families!! Plenty of parking; a little tight at times but never had issues finding a space. Have been staying here for years! Employees are always wonderful!!

First and last time on the second floor; the ramps are too steep. My suitcase about ran me over!! Also, seemed the water pressure upstairs was not up to par. The restaurant has been closed since COVID. A new one needs to set up in its place so vacationers have a place for a bite to eat if they don’t want to walk any. Wish they’d offer a complimentary breakfast.

We didn’t get breakfast which was misleading because I booked it thinking DB&B would be open but it was closed the whole week I was there. The location was nice and easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They came to our place if we needed anything.

They should have let us know The restaurant would be closed the whole week I was there. There was no Wi-Fi. No signal the whole time. The bathroom looked very old. You need to touch it up more. The restaurant was closed and I’m sure the room was more because of that prior to booking.

Been there twice. Always enjoyed my stay.

Price per night, specially since there are no restaurant services at all in the facility.

It’s location was very convenient and we could walk right across the street to where the shops were. And they have a friendly staff. Everyone was more than happy to help with all our needs.

No Wi-Fi or out of range of it. If there was any we couldn’t connect to it unless we were at the lobby. Also we had to go to the lobby and get towels when we needed them. It would have been more convenient if they had housekeeping to at least change out towels. And if they do they never made it to our room.

Pros: Location, Nice Pool, Nice staff, washer and dryer open 24/7. Quite.

Cons: A bit over priced. And no where does it state a time the pool closes ( that I saw ) but that male staff guy comes and kicks you out around 1030-11. That's crap because I didn't see a time and also there are no life guards. So why does time matter? You're already swimming at your own risk. I looked all over that pool and our check in papers for a closing time and found none.

We like that it’s off the main road but easily accessible to the strip by plenty of access walkways. We also like getting a river view room to see the town lit at night and watch the ducks and geese from our balcony.

Our first morning we only had lukewarm water for showers. We told the front desk and they later said hot water heaters are being changed in that building but our water was warmer (still didn’t turn on cold with it) but it was fine for 4 adults to take showers. Also the little restaurant was closed. We missed their breakfast buffet.

No breakfast. Location is beyond perfect. Eric at the front desk is a keeper. Courteous and professional. Explains everything you need to know to make your stay memorable.

This usn't about what we didn't like but just a suggestion. In as much we loved the spa/shower, as seniors we had difficulty getting into the huge tub as there are no rails to help you get in and out. We loved everything about our room. Security rails would be helpful getting in and out of the spa bath.

The king size bed was nice, but it's difficult to get into, its so high off the ground. The location was great for easy access to the main strip of Gatlinburg. The room was small but functional.

The height of the bed was a bit of an issue. Also, several cars would take spaces near our room who were clearly not guests of the hotel. They were parking there and walking into downtown, a bit of an inconvenience, but the staff said they would address the issue.

Location was ideal, room very large, Staff was exceptional in all respects. I have traveled for business extensively for years. This staff was the most courteous, helpful, and friendly I have ever encountered. They made my stay, and made up for what the physical plant lacked.

Only issue we had was the generally dated fixtures in the bathroom. They were spotless but are showing age and use. The only real issue was the shower diverter would not work, it was jammed on so shower ran continuously. Ok for us, someone wanting a bath would find it inconvenient. I assume parts fixture is so old parts are not available to fix. But the excellent location, view, and staff more than made up for this.

We loved sitting out on balcony watching the wildlife and people. The staff are friendly and helpful..great location. Miss D onna at the check in desk is exceptional..she makes u feel so welcome. Everytime we come she's like,seeing an old friend.

The towels could use a little softner.
