The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are older but clean and bathrooms are fresh and renovated. There is a basics breakfast included with hot coffee to get your day started. It was a short drive to the University and downtown. The hotel is right off the interstate 40 but we didn’t hear traffic noises at all during our stay. Each staff member we interacted with had a smile in their face and they were friendly and helpful. We’ll stay here again.

The bed and pillows could use and update but they were on par with what I expected for the price.

I was VERY surprised and unhappy that I was not made aware of the NEW policy charging for pets-even though I made my reservation with the knowledge that we had a pet! We have always chosen LaQuinta because of no pet fee. We will now consider other hotels as this perk is no longer an incentive.

Staff was friendly & helpful! Even though the building was under renovation, everything was clean and neat. Room was good size & clean. Breakfast was yummy and coffee was always fresh! Pool was clean, good parking & close to so many things to do.

Not necessarily a "didn't like", but I wish it had been listed more clearly that they charge your card the full amount of the stay at 6pm even if you haven't even checked in yet. I only saw it listed that no shows or cancels are charged the amount of the 1st night. It was just a surprise since I've never had that happen at any other hotel, ever. Panicked for a minute there that our reservation had an issue lol. But it all worked out 😏 Also, the bathroom NEEDS an exhaust fan 🙃

Love that you've removed carpet and have faux wood floors, makes the room so much more appealing! Unique and fun decor is refreshing. Love the layout of the hotel with the pool in the middle. Great reset of a classic hotel from the 50s! Enjoyed the garage bar for cocktails and the diner for breakfast.

La Quinta is my favorite motel chain. The staff is always courteous, the rooms clean, and it is pet-friendly. La Quinta has a breakfast that would rival many restaurants.

In the morning, I found a bed bug on the desk and when I returned from breakfast there was one climbing up the side of the bed.
