Hampton Inn Memphis-Walnut Grove/Baptist East

The property was nice in a very quiet part of time. It was right next to a hospital but no busy traffic and it was pretty close to all of the major parts of town.

The elevator seemed like it’s getting old and could be replaced. The doors looked pretty old as well. Our bathroom also had a crack in the shower wall and it looked like it was about to pop at any moment. The sink in the bathroom & the tub also had a slow drain and the water collected so fast due to high water pressure.

Hotel is clean, staff friendly,, I was very surprised there’s no mini fridge I’m disabled room, needed refrigeration for medical supplies & resorted to ice bucket for 2 days, I’ve never stayed at a Hampton Inn without a fridge,, I looked it up online & there’s no mention of any type of room including a fridge,, lesson learned , we’ll always check for fridge in room

No fridge in room, I’ve never stayed at a Hampton Inn without a fridge , especially a handicapped room where a fridge is needed to medical supplies & this location is steps from local Baptist hospital

Their breakfast is always good. That was second time I stayed there, and will be back in March. I live out of town. The first time I stayed, wasn’t as clean due to help during Covid time.

Negative is no refrigerator or microwave. It may have to do with price point of room.. but just used to having one, no matter price point

The room was spacious and clean. Ample parking.

Breakfast - Lack of choice and toaster didn't work properly. The was no "normal milk" on 2nd day and the coffee was so weak I could see the bottom of the cup. The decaf coffee had too many grounds in it as well. A fridge in the room would have helped as well as somewhere to hang clothes.

It was close enough to get to everything in a short amount of time but not in the middle of a busy town. It was very quiet. Not real busy while we were there. I was there to sit for a registry and the wifi worked good so I was able to use my computer to study.

our door would not catch to close/lock. it was hot in the halls and almost unbearable in the elevator. Check out person said they are working on it.

Excellent choice for breakfast every morning and staff was very friendly and helpful!

I personally being a early riser would have liked to have a coffee machine in the room but due to the risk of virus I understand why there isn’t

We were very pleased with the location, the friendliness of the front desk staff. The breakfast was delicious. There were many options and the food was fresh and hot.

I did not like that my room was cleaned on Friday. We left early enough for the room to be refreshed. At the least we could've been given fresh towels for when we arrived back to shower with.

Location was great--20 minutes from Memphis, and within a 15 min radius to anything you could need. The comforter was warm and comfy and not cheap like other hotels.

The room temp fluctuated a few degrees from whatever you set it at, so after the first night, we had to turn it down more to keep it at a good sleeping temp. Only one elevator worked.

Location, friendliness of the staff and breakfast options

The room we stayed in had a lot of ladybugs but they didn't bother us.
