From the moment we parked we knew this place was special, all the cabins were really cute and everything looked really cleaned and organized. We were checked in by Tracy, a really nice lady who had the best attitude ever and a great energy. She gave us a piece of paper with all the activities we could do around town and even recommended a place for my daughter to buy cowboy boots. After we were taught how to get around the town, we walked around and we were able to get to know the most welcoming and beautiful town. The food was absolutely amazing, my daughter was able to but her handmade cowboy boots and we even fed the ducks and the deer. Adding Bandera to our roadtrip was a great decision, we had the best time and we will definitely come back.

This place is just wonderful. If there was a six star rating instead of five, they would deserve it. Such lovely cottages, next to the medina river and park. 211 feet from 11th St Cowboy Bar and the Historic City. The front desk took care of everything, was available round the clock and even brought birthday cake for my wife. It was a blast. We enjoyed every minute in the cottage, at the campfire in front of it and in the lovely friendly shops if Bandera. The Motel comforts families w/o pets best. There ist plenty of space to play and explore. Wild ducks, deers and others are present at the yard. There are firepits, BBQ and cowboy games too. We loved it and made friends with this place.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer.

Convenient location, with cute well appointed cabins. Each cabin had a fire ring & wood provided. Bed was super comfy. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.
Not a bad thing....but interesting. There were packs of disposable earplugs on the nightstand. I've often wished that I had them & now carry my own. I was there on a Sunday & had no noise problem, but being on the main drag, other times they may be necessary.

The cabins are great! charming inside and out. There is a courtyard with group firepits, cornhole, horseshoes, roping "steer" and BBQ. We enjoyed the corn they gave us to feed the geese, ducks and deer... They wandered in and through the courtyard on several occasions during the day. great for sitting outside on your porch, with your individual fire pit and chairs. Close to downtown and bars, easy to walk to all.
the bed was really high, at 5'6" it was a bit of an effort to get in and out of the bed. Also, definitely a "dip" in the middle, in our room and our friends as well.

Wonderful remodeled historic cabins by the Medina river. Each cabin has their own parking spot, veranda and fire pit. King size bed was super comfortable. Everything is kept very clean. Staff is wonderful. Good old Southern hospitality. Location is in close walking distance to the famous 11th Street Cowboy bar, O.S.T. diner, Silver Dollar and other Bandera attractions. Other guests were also very nice and respectful of the property. Lots of folks sat by their fires in the evening, listening to the live music from the close by venue (you can hear the music in a nice, subtle way). We felt like we are in an old Western. Glad the Texan way of life is still alive in Bandera!
Nothing to complain about. We'll be back!

The convenience of the property as well as the hospitality. It was very clean and the staff was accommodating due to us arriving after hours. If ever through Bandera, I’m 100% staying at this location again. Very affordable compared to the surrounding “mainstream” hotels. Would much rather stay in a place like this than an outdated hotel.
If I’m required to pick something.. I’m a large person, so the shower was a little cramped. But understandable because each unit is limited on space.

The old River Front Motel cabins are beautifully remodeled. Both old and new owners work together to maintain and improve this historic place in Bandera, Texas. The Southern hospitality of Tracy and Mary Jane are exceptional. All the staff members keep excellent care of the beautiful cabins. Each cabin has their own porch and outside fire place. We stayed in the winter (no fire ban), and enjoyed a cozy bonfire every night. Fire wood is provided & restacked every day. We had a cabin with a king size bed, which was very comfortable. Everything was sparkling clean. The location is wonderful! Right by the Medina River and in walking distance to Bandera downtown with all its great attractions, like 11th Street Cowboy Bar (2 min walk), O.S.T. Restaurant, The Silver Dollar, and other great live music places.
Nothing to complain about at all, just some ideas to share, and only if possible and realistic. Add your "old buckaroo-cowboy & wild horses throws/blankets" (which you have on the beds) to your cute merchandise. I'd buy one immediately! If you plan on remodeling more in the future, maybe add a kitchenette (larger fridge, stove and sink) also to the "King Suite Cabin #6".

Loved the cute layout of the place, individual cabins surrounding a nice central area with horseshoes, corn hole, even a lasso and metal bull. Nice porches, separate chairs around fired-pit. Nice bed. Across the street from city park. We liked the town.
Only one chair, although it was a great rocker, in the room. No way to open windows. Some blinds not working well..
