Renaissance Dallas North Hotel

The hotel was right off the highway so easy to find. Staff was excellent. I had lost my keys in the restaurant and the waiter saved them for me. My whole trip would have been ruined if not for his quick thinking giving them to the front desk. The food was excellent also so we ate there several times.

The only thing I would have liked is a microwave in the room. I bought popcorn to have a movie and popcorn date with my husband in the room but no microwave. We stayed 4 nights so that would have been nice to warm up our leftovers also.

The A/C was not functioning however we were given the option to cancel at no additional fee. Given that I had a Birthday celebration scheduled at 7pm and needed to start preparing for the event, I agreed to proceed with My check in given the assurance the A/C would be fixed by 6pm latest. Unfortunately that was not the case, the A/C was still out by the time I returned back to my room around 10:40pm. Ultimately the issue was fixed later on in the night, not sure what time exactly. But by the time I woke up, it was functioning. This is my reason for rating the hotel an 8. Front desk agent was pleasant and courteous enough to extend my check out to 2pm upon my request.

No air conditioning and fridge area being dusty

This is a very nice hotel comparable to a Marriott, Westin etc but it is priced at the level of a lower level chain. Very good value. Breakfast was not included but is optional but we don't usually take advantage of that anyway. The hotel was very clean and rooms were very nice. Bed was super comfortable and TV was awesome. Nice workout facility and had a restaurant adjoining to the lobby if you needed it. It is located in a business area so on the weekend it is very quiet and peaceful. Also located right across from a lake which makes for a nice walk/hike. Staff was helpful and flexible.

Would have liked better access to drinks and snacks like a small market but there is a convenience store nearby which was excellent (QT).

Not much in the way of a store/snack area but there is a nice convenience store (QT) located nearby.

Beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to quickly accommodate any request I had quickly. The food was excellent, the room and bed were clean and comfortable

In much need of renovation. Very dated, yet elegant. Needs modernization to accommodate current technology. Can be an absolute gem, a lot of potential. Menu is overly pricey even for a high end hotel.

Overall everything was good, facilities decent shape, cleaning decent, staff ok

We reserved a King bed room, and at time of arrival they change our room for a two queen, probably a huge priority guest, I think. Bar tender guy was un polite, and tge other one had to take over and he was very nice

Nice sized room, liked the foyer bathroom and closet. Comfortable bed and bedding.

No airport shuttle. When I booked there was nothing saying that the restaurants weren’t operating. One of the reasons we chose this property was because we had a 36 hour stay and had not planned on renting a car. With no shuttle we had to Uber there and then to the airport to rent a car ( we flew into DfW and out of DAL). We thought we would have a few choices of where to eat within the restaurant, that was the appeal as we hadn’t planned on renting a vehicle. Also, it was a tad deceiving as we know the OMNI brand but then found out that this property is not actually a part of the OMNI Resorts any longer.

The staff is awesome. The gentleman that works the night shift remembered my manger from the first time he checked me in. Addresses me by my first name the Everytime he sees me. I love this hotel. It's clean sanded the beds water the best I've slept in. Always get a great night's rest. I would recommend this hotel to sanguine that is looking for well priced upper echelon hotel. This isn't a motel 6 type of place but the price is.

There's nothing I've come across that I didn't like.

The room has a TV -limited channels-, small fridge and coffee maker with some coffee and tea filters! The WIFI connection was super! Parking facilities! You need a vehicle for this hotel as everything is very far away!

Toilette paper not good quality Most important: The receptionists need a Costumer Service Training urgently! The Housekeeping personnel were more friendly!

The staff is great! I was welcomed by Judith, who was extremely attentive and helpful with the registration process. The bed was comfortable as well!

For this to be a Renaissance Hotel, it didn’t live up to the luxury hotel brand. The facility/building was outdated, and it felt like I went back in time. Also, parts of the building was in poor condition.
